If you can see it, take a good look as it is a perfect example of
government waste. We went to the moon and found....nothing. We put
spacecraft on mars and found....nothing. The same with jupitar...nothing.
Think how many young people could attend college on the billions that
these nerds waste playing around with their space projects.
No one alive today, including 6 month old babies, will live to see humans
living on any planet other than earth.

Going into space gives us purpose and unity, JP. But I I agree that that
NASA can be the government agency that pays for itself by charging companies
to put payloads in Space. I disagree with you about space exploration,
however. Space exploration helps us to better understand our own planet.
Think of where we were a little over 100 years ago with Kitty Hawk and where
we are today. Can you imagine the advances in another 100 years?
Fusing metals is more possible in a zero gravity environment that space can
provide and we can possibly save lives with better weather reporting from
the ISS. Advances in Biology, Energy, Medicine, Agriculture,
Communications, and on and on and on will be dependent on our investment in
Space. We are still at the beginning of an amazing century yet to come.

Other countries keep the black projects black, The USA needs to be a expert
in space for our own survival, last week drudge reported the CIA or someone
was investigating disappearing satelites, some probably naturally, the
space and laser technology must be competitive or better for future wars.
I do believe however by the end of the Obama administration, most jobs will
be burger flippers, janitors, wally world employees, housekeepers, etc so
its possible there will be big cuts in tech jobs.
First we had clintons Nafta and now the Osama admin. Osama - buildin a
beta Rats nest.
When I lived in Daytona Beach my pastor talked about how some fools
say we spent millions going to the moon and got nothing but moon
rocks. However a lot of things we have today came out of the space
program such as microwave ovens. We would not even have the internet
and AVLV without the sace program. One pastor said when his church was
rasing money for a building if a millionare walked up and offered to
pay for the whole thing he would say no because then the people would
not get the growth from giving. So if God had given us a free ride to
the moon we would not have a lot of the technology we have today. The
best use for the international space station now is to take Obama's
health care bill and haul it off to mars! Ronald Emerson. Is it June
2010 yet?
I apologize to everyone for starting this thread.
