Question on "Lines" Column in Message List Window

I am getting lists of Newsgroup posts where the [Lines] column in the
[Message List] window shows 0 (zero lines), but if I download the body
it HAS lines!

Example one post showed 0 lines but AFTER downloading the body had 116
lines.

I use Forte APN.


Anyone know how this can happen?

Any linecount when you download headers is just an estimate. Firstly
the news server might generate a linecount if it's missing. But the
poster's software night well set a linecount when uploading and the
server will believe that. SOme software fails to count properly and
effectively sets the count to zero.

Forte APN is a pile of poo. But in this case it's probably the poster
not Forte.

Hasn't given me any grief. What don't you like about it? And what do
you recommend in its place and why?
