This happens to me occasionally, but more so today. In the last few
hours, APN has been retrieving some (not all, but as many as a dozen
at once) headers with a red x in the box instead of lines. The next
time I refresh, either some or all of the posts will disappear
altogether or they are retrieved. Sometimes they come back on another
refresh, sometimes they're gone for good. It has nothing to do with
my filters. Neither these Subject nor the Authors are filtered out...
in fact, my own post just appeared with a red x next to it. What is
happening and why? I know APN drops posts occasionally, but this is
an epidemic.

TIA

Ditto here.

But I'm sure they're aware of the problem and are working towards a
solution that should be implemented sometime between now and never,
probably closer to the latter.

PS: This post hasn't even shown up yet and my post with a red x
(mentioned above) disappeared and hasn't reappeared, nor have others
that were red x'd.

I find this with the Euro servers so I now use the main USA servers. Simply use
the URL for the US system (69.16.186.50)

I also find this sort of thing can happen if you are configured for multiple
servers and have made some less than optimal :^) (get bodies) override
settings for a folder.
(I think you can mess this up, even with one server if you really try:P )
