Agent works fine after I click the "Yes" button. However, I would like
to eliminate the annoying UAC alert.
I have tried the following with no success:
- I upgraded from Agent 5 to Agent 6
- I moved the Agent folder from C:\Manual Programs\Agent
to C:\Users\[My Account]\AppData\Local\Forte\Agent
- I configured Agent.exe to "Run as Administrator"
(that allowed me to Ctrl-L to launch the browser
...but the UAC alert still appears when Agent is started)
What else can I try?

Turn off run as an administrator. That requires UAC prompt for the
program to run.

Go to the UAC settings and lower the security level a little and it
will stop asking you for permission.
Ken
The problem was that my browser "Firefox" would not launch from Agent
unless I started Agent with the "Run As Administrator" command.
Unfortunately, when started with "Run As Administrator", Windows 7
displays a UAC alert...which is an annoyance.
The solution was to change the DDE Message (in Tools->Options->URL
Types) from
"%1",,0xFFFFFFFF,,,,,
to
"%1",,0,0,,,,
The first set of parameters worked fine with Windows XP, but it needed
to be changed to the second set for Windows 7.
cheers,
