Check it out:

https://www.altopia.com/

The newsmaster has a policy whereby if a paying subscriber
recruits new subscribers then the paying subscriber gets a
free month's usage for his efforts.

So, if one can recruit one new subscriber per month then one
uses Altopia for free.

So don't try to tell me giving kudos to Altopia is off topic in this
group. Those of you who are sick and tired of unreliable and
restrictive free NSP should give Altopia a try.

P.S. If you sign up for an Altopia account use the MID of this
post so I get credited for a free month. And, remember, you
too can recruit new subscribers and give yourself free months.

Shilling for Ms. Caputo again?

Criminal, pedo, scumbag, usenet freak. Shits in his bunk.

Making sure everyone knows you have a little limp dick and a puke yellow boat that smells like shit, not to mention your lack of education.

I've never understood how one triggers this filter, but it seems to
happen with a lot of Greggies posts.

innd: rejecting[perl] <6trqdn....@news.alt.net> 439 EMP (phr path)

I can't imagine why any filter would earmark such a constructive
post unless it just picks on *news.alt.net* in the MID. If that's the
case then it's no trouble for me to create and use my own MID
format that doesn't mention alt net in order to bypass such dumb
filters.

I could not understand out why it was filtered. It should have only
done so if several other people with news.alt.net in the Path were
posting to the same newsgroup within a short amount of time, or at least
that is the way I understand the documentation on the particular
sub-filter that caught this one.

I should properly learn Perl one of these days so I can better
understand the code itself. This is just one reason why I don't like
using Cleanfeed. For a few days I set it back to defaults and now see
lots of missing (and what I consider valid) articles. Guess I'm going
back to my minimal configuration which doesn't catch near enough, IMHO.

Good idea.

Maybe you need to talk to Steve Crook of Mixmin. I think he was
responsible for writing some of the filters. He doesn't believe
in free speech, it seems. He likes to *rule the roost* so to speak.

No wonder Greg's always trying to get a freebie.
