Zimmermann means carpenter, woodworking at the building site, more
coarse/rough things ...
Tischler means joiner, building furniture, doors and other precision work.

I might add that "Zimmermann" and "Tischler" aren't the standard words
in some parts of Germany; the alternatives are "Zimmerer" and
"Schreiner", respectively.
