I know it's a slightly demeaning, derogatory, disambiguating appellation thingy for girls not quite girly enough but then wouldn't and shouldn't it be called a "Tom Girl" then?

I just learnt that the three slender turkeys that grace the hills where I'm currently camped out are not a papa and a mama and a young'n in tow but three "toms" that got the boot!

When folks coin expressions and terms for the things they see in nature for the first time and then whatever it is manages to stick, why don't some plenary group with better wordy knowledge edit and mitigate the new word before it catches on and takes off know what I mean?

Now I'm gonna look it up and see what one of AI bots are gonna say and hope I don't feel stupid.

People are all into the AI shit. It's garbage. They love it now, but let's see how they
feel a few years from now. How about the phone robot who says no one is in the
office now but not to worry, "I can help you." Then a series of questions are asked
to determine the reason for you call. Maybe 4 of them. But none apply to the caller.
Same with self driving cars. I don't care how bad people drive, in a sticky situation
demanding swift decisions based on the big picture, I'll take them any day over a
self driving car. My opinion is that people read about AI and other shit and feel
they better jump on the bandwagon now because it's the future and anyone who
thinks otherwise is living in the past. Actually, whoever coined the phrase tomboy
may have been way ahead of the times - somehow intuitively into the trans/queer/plus
trendiest before it ever happened. I don't feel stupid when I look up stuff on the
search bar. Even with words of which I am not sure of the meaning - even then
I will use my word and not look up the actual meaning until afterwards. And guess
what? Sometimes my word is better than the official one. Awwww, to hell with
the grammatical sticklers of our time. If they know a word or phrase is wrong they
must know what the person using the word meant. It's nice to know the official
definitions, but sometimes it's more fun to roll with what feels good. Can ya dig?
I knew you could.
