What does an ATM spray when a machine is broken open?
Just the other day I read of an innovation in this field: something that
is sprayed on both a hold-up person and the stolen goods when the person
behind the counter presses a button. The novelty is that it's colourless
and odourless, so the marked person doesn't realise that he's been marked.

as he has scrubbed every part of his body and clothing, that dna will
mark him as being at that scene at that time. The "black money" scam
is unrelated to the "intelligent water" or "purple dye" methods of
detering theft. It is a scam played on somebody who has already been
scammed, where he collects "his own money" that has been coated with
black ink for security purposes. Last of all this spammer fleeces him
for the magic cleaning agent he needs!

suspects" is so much more effective if you know that one or more of them
have been tagged.
A few years ago, I was phoned at work and asked to come home because
someone had broken into my house. I arrived to find about a dozen police
and a couple of police dogs.
You don't usually get that much police attention for a simple burglary.
It was explained to me that this case was important because they'd been
trying to catch the fellow for months. By getting to my place quickly
enough, and with the aid of the dogs, they tracked him to his home. I
think they managed to get a confession for several dozen burglaries.
Unfortunately for me, it was his accomplice who was carrying the loot,
and the accomplice managed to hide it before he was picked up.
While at that address I had a number of burglaries over the years, but I
didn't get as much police attention for the others, because the culprits
were children, and even though the police caught them in the act in some
cases they could never get a conviction.

to block anything from gmail.com. Possibly also a good reason to block

What's interesting in the present case is that they've tried to put a
reply address into the Subject line, but the address has been munged by
the Google Groups spam-proofing measures. For once GG got it right.
ObAUE: I stand by my "they've" in the last paragraph. I wonder how long
the grammar gurus will take to accept that such contractions are normal
English, even in formal writing.
