Beotch: 8,930

Beyotch: 4,530

But which is the *correct* spelling?

Hi

How can one have a correct spelling of a made up word? Unless of course, you
made the word up. To this word, I think, we'll never find the original
author.

Both are therefore equally correct, and if the word is to enter the language
officially, then I would imagine that the most popular spelling will be
used.

:)

Don't forget "beoch", "beyoch", "beeoch", "beeotch", "beeyoch", "beeyotch",
"bayoch", "bayotch", "bioch" and "biotch".... There's plenty of examples to
look at if you do searches on Google. Go compare.

I'd** go for the one which isn't likely to be confused with something else
(like beach, betcha, beyblades, Beyonce or biotech) and makes the
pronunciation clear. Beeotch?

**Well, I wouldn't, but let's pretend.

"Bitch." "Beotch" and "beyotch" represent the pronunciation of
"bitch" by many American Negroes. "Shee mah beotch, bro!"

That always looks like "biotech" to me.

Ok.

Naturally, someone could infer a meaning from my post, "it looks like
'biotech' to me and as I am such reasonable and intelligent person such
spelling is liable to be misinterpreted by other reasonable and
intelligent people, therefore your proposed spelling is a terrible
choice and you should be ashamed of yourself."

But I didn't say that.
