Hello:

"Shoot no wonder, then"
does it mean
"don't talk nonsense?"

"Scout" can't mean "Girl Scout" here, as she wasn't yet in school yet.

--
[Dill, a boy, comes to their house and is interrogated]

“I just thought you’d like to know I can read. You got anything needs
readin’ I can do it....”

“How old are you,” asked Jem, “four-and-a-half?”

“Goin’ on seven.”

“Shoot no wonder, then,” said Jem, jerking his thumb at me. “Scout
yonder’s been readin’ ever since she was born, and she ain’t even
started to school yet. You look right puny for goin’ on seven.”

Scout seems to be the name of the girl.

"Shoot" is an exclamation, like "Good Grief" or "Zounds". There should
be a comma after it.

I missed "Scout". That's the name of the narrator - Scout Finch.

I know it, but most of the editions don't have a comma there, thus I
assume the meaning was different.

Thanks.

Nickname. Her real name is Jean Louise and is used in various places in
the book. I don't think the origin of the nickname is ever explained.

It doesn't mean anything else, to me at least.

"Shoot" is a substitute for "shit" here.

My initial reading without comma, was:

"Don't shoot no wonders, then"
which could be seen as slang for
"Don't talk no/any nonsense, then"

:-)

Etymologically, okay, but not necessarily consciously. Millions of
people have said "Shoot" because they knew it as an expression of mild
disappointment, not because they had any urge to say "Shit" and were
censoring themselves.

Dill has just introduced himself to Jem and Scout, and has told them
that he can read. Jem replies "So what?"

I understood it thus...

Shoot! No wonder, then (that you can read. Early literacy is common
around here.) Scout yonder (over there) has been reading since she was
born.

"Shoot no wonder" appears to be a common exclamation in certain
regions of the USA

Shoot, no wonder I'm screwed up

Shoot no wonder!!!!!!!!!!!!! no wonder i cant play

SHoot! No WONDER she loves Steph so darned much!

Shoot no wonder you were having trouble....

SHOOT !! No wonder they're having to rattle their sabres so loud!

Shoot, no wonder when i take it, after 10 mins my 'u know what' stand
up and become so hard.

Well shoot no wonder you're going broke!
