Registrated or Registered?

Any suggestions on this one? Are they interchangeable or is there a subtle difference in meaning eg does one register or registrate a document number?

There is no such word as 'registrated' or 'registrate'. The verb is 'to
register', and something is 'registered', but the act is called
'registration', which is probably where the confusion arose.

Something similar seems to be happen with people using saying "administrate"
instead of "administer" and "commentate" instead of "comment".
