I will probably never publish...

...but I'd hate to be guilty of failing to share this sentence
with the universe at large at least once, so I'll share it with
you now.

I had typed up to "which she", and was about to continue with
"estimates as wor..." when the Muse beat its wings idly, and
languorously prompted me with a "hey, Rich, you don't get a
chance like that every day. Why not..."

So I did. Here is the revised sentence in full.

About all his aunt has not confiscated for re-sale is his
collection of electronic knick-knacks, which she
floccinaucinihilipilificates, and which he regards simply as the
slightly rusty fossils of his pre-Seaside period.

I think this may be a case where you really ought to kill your darlings.

Yes, you're probably right, but for now at least it can stay,
because for now I get a chuckle every time I re-read, and ever
since alt.humor.best-of-usenet fell into its vegetative coma
chuckles haven't been as easy to come by as once they were.

Just one problem - if I cut it, the Muse might never speak to me
again. As I'm sure you know yourself, they're terribly sensitive.

Well, they're mostly tucked away in fancy old buildings full of old things.

Baffled. I'll have to meditate on that for a while.
