Anyone know a good tool shop? Not B&Q or Homebase, dont like them expensive.

Does Murray's Tool Store still exist on Morrison St? I remember looking
for it a few months ago and it was nowhere to be seen. :-(

That would be a loss if it were gone.

Having said that I found a quote from the owner in the Scotsman of 27
June <http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=991272007> so it
may be worth another look as they seem to have been around then.

It's moved from the previous corner location to one opposite the EICC.

Moved? Previous corner location? I'm sure I've been going to the same
Murray's for thirty years. Are you maybe misremembering their other
branches: there was one on the corner by Haymarket Station and one in
the far reaches of South Clerk Street.

I could have sworn it used to be on the Morrison Street/Gardners
Crescent corner ten years ago. Or did I dream it?

If you dont wish to use Machine Mart, down past meadowbank,

you could try Woodwares in Portobello.
