Schneider practically "hijacked" Bob Lazar's dubious, ridiculous 1989 claim that there was an altercation between a U.S. elite military force and alien entities in an unspecified underground base and Schneider, in turn, conveniently made himself a protagonist in that fabricated tale, since no one else had done it before:
