If you're talking about the one that was MMA rules in K1:
Fight 8 (MMA rules): Alexey Ignashov def. "Dr. Death" Steve Williams by KO
0:22 R1

he lost in 22 seconds after 3 knees to the head and a few kicks.

Quote of the day.
You're disgusting! you say he is sex lupines and sweep him away.
A chinese actress suffers the indignity of bad subtitles in the film 'red to
kill'
Would have been even quicker if Ignashov had not held back from soccer
kicking him when his man was down.
Dang, I figured as much.

There's rumors that its payback on the part of Inoki to get back at Williams
for defecting from New Japan Pro Wrestling to All Japan Pro Wrestling (run by
the late Giant Baba) in the 80s.

Inoki isn't involved with k1.
K1 and Inoki have the same financial backer - that's why Bom-ba-ye is
being put on hold and the NJPW wrestlers will fight on K1 MMA cards.

aha - i knew they were in bed together - at the bom ba ye shows prior to the
last one etc.
steve williams is down as a minor league japanese promotion wrestler though
isn't he? - as opposed to NJPW
Yes, last I heard he was wrestling for and booking an independent
promotion and this was his last chance for a decent payday.
K1 MMA's next show is being booked as K-1 vs. Inoki Army (Fujita,
Machida, Barnett etc) with Sapp vs Fujita as the main event.

Got any specifics, Bob, like date and venue?
Cheers

Nope, I just did a search on google to find the results.
That was around '98 or '99 and he was KO'd in the Brawl For All
which was a legit Tough Man style boxing tournament that allowed for
takedowns (with quick stand ups). Williams TKO'd his first opponent in
the tournament but then got KO'd by Bart Gunn in his 2nd round match.
Williams was going for a takedown against Bart Gunn and he hurt his knee
in the process and then got KO'd. But keep in mind that even at this
point Steve Williams was already past his prime.
It's too bad that "Dr. Death" Steve Williams didn't fight in legit
MMA 10 or 11 years ago (at least). Back in the early '80s Steve
Williams was a 4 time All American wrestler at the University of
Oklahoma (where he was also a 4 time All American in football) and
during his senior year he made it to the final match in the NCAA finals
where he lost to future Olympic gold medalist Bruce Baumgartner by like
one point. For quite a few years Williams was considered to be one of
the legit toughest guys in "pro wrestling" but he's way past his prime
now. He's got to be in his mid to late 40s by now and has had a lot of
injuries and has been known to have had drug abuse problems as well. I
would like to have seen what "Dr. Death" could have done in the UFC back
around '93 or '94 but at that time he was making a lot of money in All
Japan Pro Wrestling and there just wasn't enough money in MMA at that
time. I imagine that he took this fight knowing that he'd probably lose
but figuring that this would probably be his last chance to get a big
pay day before he retires.
> with Sapp vs Fujita as the main event.
OUCH!
Even if Sapp hasnt progressed at all, this one
will be a killer for Fujita...
Did you see what Sapp did to Mino before he lost?

It`s a great rush, eiii...
It makes your sphincter get real tight.

The simple sad truth is that Williams took the fight because he needs the
money to pay for treatment for the throat cancer he has recently announced
he's suffering from. He knew he had cancer before the fight, but didn't tell
anyone until afterwards.

You have to respect the guy for that. Win lose or draw.
