So, there has obviously been a lot of talk about this fight. Most of
Everyone hates on Tim, and a lot of people question Fedor's status as
the greatest heavyweight (and possibly greatest pound for pound) of
all time. As much as Tim bored the hell out of me in every fight he
won between the second Arlovski fight and now (the only fun fights to
watch, for me, were his losses to Couture and Nog), you can't really
get around the fact that he was UFC champ, is huge and powerful, and
can swat. Fedor hadn't fought anyone who presented a real challenge
since 2005 when he dominated Cro Cop.

And, so, this fight went down exactly how I thought it would, although
much faster than even I anticipated. Fedor by sub (RNC) at 0:36 of
the 1st.

So...for Fedor's detractors...still overrated?

Tim Sylvia's record of 24-4 is hardly chopped liver. He looked in decent
shape; he was just over matched. You noticed that the promotors are making a
big deal of FE being undisputed hvywt champ of the world? Even getting him
to say he wants Randy and RC coming into the ring saying hopefully he can
resolve his issues with Zuffa and fight later this year? These guys are
lording it over UFC as much as they can. Saying they put on the fight
because UFC banned their clothes from the octagon. Take care

I guess my point was that Fedor earned it a long time ago. A couple
years against subpar competition damaged that, and legitimately
knocked him off the top of the P4P list, but did not warrant him being
called "a myth" or "overrated."

Some of these moves are simply impossible to pull off on The Great
Khali because there's never been anyone his size or strength in MMA
before. Tank Abbot maxed out with a 600 lbs bench press, while Khali
warms up with many reps @ 600lbs, and Khali has extremely long arms
and physics says that people with long arms shouldn't be able to bench
a lot, so that tells you how insanely strong Khali really is
considering he doesn't get good leverage because of his 92" reach but
is still strong enough to bench a grand piano. His physical
proportions @ 7'4" 500lbs of solid muscle are simply too big to pull
off a lot of moves like rear naked chokes, armbars, triangle chokes,
etc.
http://i4.tinypic.com/110lspi.jpg
http://thegreatkhali.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/01/giant.jpg
His head is the size of a beachball, and his neck is the size of a
treetrunk. People with big heads, caveman jaws, and huge muscular
necks need to be hit with a sledge hammer to be knocked out, I doubt
anyone MMA today has the kind of power knock out this modern day
caveman.
This was back when he was a 17 year old kid.
http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q21/mikecart1/BBdotCom/dalip2.jpg
Since then he's packed on an extra 50 lbs of muscle, and he still has
great cardio from his Greco Roman Wrestling days and because he still
likes to practice Akido, Judo, Kalari and Greco Roman Wrestling.
He's simply the baddest dude on the planet. He's twice the size of Bob
Sapp and unlike Bob Sapp, he's a TRUE MARTIAL artist. He's trained in
hand to hand combat, combat with weapons, and also trained with
machine guns, rpgs, MLRS, tanks, and many other weapons systems in the
Indian Armed and Special Forces.
He's basically a 7'4" 500lbs RAMBO.

Keep dreaming. He would most certainly pose a thread to *anybody* at that
size and with that strength, but muscle doesn't protect carotid's so as long
as the limbs of his opponent are long enough to make it around and clamp, he
would go to sleep just like anybody else.

After Fedor's fight with Hong Kong Choi, I'm certain he would have a
different game plan and effectively deal with Khali.

I don't quite know why this is an issue though because how likely is it that
this fight will every happen?

It wouldn't surprise me a bit. He's just the kind of circus

I can never tell who is joking, but if you seriously believe ANY of
what you wrote you really need to get out of the house once or twice
and watch something besides WWE.
Apart from the obvious inflation of his height by 3 or 4 inches and
the extra 100 pounds, show ANY documentation that he has martial arts
training, apart from HIM saying he does. He is so incredibly slow
Fedor would tattoo his face before he knew the fight had started. He
makes Sylvia look like Silva in the speed department. The guy can
barely walk. He's a slower, less skilled Choi.
oh, and the bench press figures you claim? ROFLMAO. In this day and
age of video isnt it amazing there aren't any of him working out. 1
rep of 400, if he's lucky.

Are you out of your mind, The guys is WELL OVER 400lbs.
If He didn't even work out at all ever, he'd have like a 500 lbs bench
press.
He works out like a mad man, eats tons of protein including 5 whole
chickens every day, and throws around 300-500lbs men 295 days of the
year.
He has a 92" wingspan yet, his arms and shoulders are incredibly
thick, not like Manute Bol or Ralph Samson.
Look at this pic of him.
http://www.sepiamutiny.com/sepia/DalipGiantSingh.jpg
Even if you thought he was just a 5'6" 175 lbs guy in that pic, you'd
still expect him to have at least a 350lbs bench press, but he's
actually well over 7 feet and well over 400lbs.
Doing a pushup for him is like benching 300lbs.
He was 408lbs when he was 17 year old pro bodybuilder and SHREDDED @
1/2 of 1% bodyfat.
Now he's packed on an extra 50lbs of muscle on top of that and.
The Great Khali is so big and so strong that if he dunked a basketball
hard, it would tear the whole support structure for the backboard
right out of the ground by the roots and the rim would leave a crater
in the hardwood because it would hit the floor with such force. BTW,
the Great Khali is a very fast and quick athlete, the whole slow
Frankenstein thing is just an ACT, he's ACTING because crazy tough
scary guys(Jason Vorhees, Michael Meyers, Frankenstein, etc don't run,
they walk). The Great Khali could probably hit a baseball 1000 feet
because of his incredibly long arms and incredible bulk, but ofcourse
he'd have to use a tree trunk because a baseball bat would look like a
tooth pick in his hands.

Here are bodybuilders who actually know guessing how much somebody can
bench.
http://www.wannabebigforums.com/showthread.php?t=79615
They estimate that Khali can bench 840lbs(would be more like 1200 if
it weren't for his long arms), 1050lbs squat, 1050lbs deadlift.

He's a movie star and a Sports Entertainer becuase it makes him the
most money.
MMA wouldn't get him much money, if it did, he'd be doing MMA.
He likes to help out his poor relatives in India and he does tons of
charity work with the poor in India.
With the pathetic pay days they hand out in MMA, he wouldn't be able
to help out so many poor people.

You've obviously confused him with Chuck Norris.
