Part 1: Ratboy Brigade stuff:
Wow. OK, I'm almost caught up in sending out the Exams, and I'll start
marking next week. So you'll probably find out by the end of the month if
you made the cut. Yes, you really *do* have to pass the test. And your
test score will determine your position in the Rat'nik hierarchy... the
positions include BF (Beverage Fetcher), DO (Disposable Operative, sort of
related like any agent who works with Mulder and Scully on a case... you
know your lifespan is about 39 minutes ;), MIB (Mouse In Black), MOW
(Mouse Of Wile), AD (Assistant Deceiver), DOP (Director Of Plotting), RIT
(Rat In Training), RIP (Rodent In Power), KIT (Krycek in Training),
and DFL (Dictator For Life, occupied by yours truly). There are a few
others, but you get the idea.
But some notes:
Sharkman and QueenX, I tried replying to your mail and it got
bounced back to me. Try mailing me at awa...@sfu.ca instead of doing a reply
to a post, maybe that has something to do with it.
The proposed Krycek Fan Club: I have nothing to do with this, it
is completely unrelated to the Ratboy Brigade (I've had a few queries
about any relation twixt them).
The One and Only, Original Ratboy Brigade is a stand-alone internet
organization, which is good 'cause we'd double-cross anyone foolish enough
to trust us. We have no permission from FOX or 10-13, but since thay
don't own the term "Ratboy" (one of the reasons I didn't use "Krycek", my
little cossacks! Stealthy Is The Rat!), I don't see any legal weirdness.
Repeat: FOX et co do NOT own the Rat'niks, and I'm quite happy about
that. Nevermind, I'm just in a bit of a snit over something else,
unrelated to the Rat'niks. (It's that ol' anti-authority anarchist side
acting up again. I'll be OK after I have a spot of tea and a biscuit or two).
Part 2: Apocrypha:
The Official Ratboy Brigade take on Apocrypha? Well, since we're
all backstabbing little cossacks, none of us could agree on one... :)
But generally, we feel:
a) Krycek lives. He ain't dead until we see the body, and
Scully's done the autopsy (heaven.. er.. god.. er.. *North Shore* forbid
that should ever happen!)
b) Will Kriska remember he gave up the DAT? I think so: even
though Gautier seemed disoriented, I think he remembered a lot more of
what happened to him than he let on.
c) How will Squeaky get out? The current theories include
hijacking the UFO, gnawing through the door, or being let out by CSM
and promptly used of alien DNA research in the most unpleasant of
circumstances.
d) So all you Mulderites are gloating about Ratboy's unfortunate
circumstances? Ingrates! Isn't it true that if DOEK (Diesel Oil Enriched
Krycek) hadn't made like a Maglite at a crucial time (conveniently out of
Moldy's line of sight, of course), your hero would be so many pages of an
MIB's report, nothing more? He saved ol' Fed-boy's sorry (non-rugby)
butt! While a non-DOEK might not have done it, a non-DOEK would have
weaseled away from Flowbee-boy long before the MIBs caught up with them!
Yeesh, you Mulderites are almost ungrateful enough to be Rat'niks!
e) Poor Squeaky, oozing Diesel Oil. There's a bit of a debate on
whether it really was the alien seeping out of him, or if that was just
the Brylcreme abandoning ship.
f) The *Big* Rat'nik crisis of the moment is: Is it going against
loyalty to Ratboy if we find we prefer the tough, "terminator" DOEK to the
regular squirmy non-DOEK? (Answer: Of course it is! But that's the
point!) The Rat'niks would like to see the return of the DOEK just long
enough for Ratboy to get his gun back from Mulder, and then we want our
dear old non-DOEK Rodent back. (Well, we want him back *after* he's
gotten a little ways away from Mulder... it seems the only person on the
planet who *can't* beat Mulder silly is OB/BR [Our Beloved/Beloathed
Rodent]. It's getting a little embarassing, to tell the truth.)
g) Not really Rat'nik related, but did anyone get the Zeus Faber
reference yet? Zeus Storage, on Pandora Street, Colony/Endgame! Coincidence?
Don't be a sock-head. Faber, I'm not sure of; when I heard it, I thought
of I.G. Farben, but that's the only thing that came to mind.

OK, just a small spoiler, to tell you *nothing* useful and just to
annoy you: Skinner's ordeals are not over. Poor Walt. He's nearly turning
into the punching bag that Mulder used to be....
Did I mention that I love living in Vancouver? >:)
