My son just started bugging me to watch so I dragged out the DVD collection (the original set.) Nostalgic watch but shockingly bad on 4:3 SD video.

I took a look at the BlueRay set on Amazon but it's actually kind of a pain to watch a DVD these days (we use the xBox.) So I'm wondering if the HD versions on iTunes are just as good. I expect they start out that way but you must loose something (video or audio quality) in streaming.

What about extra content? Do the iTunes versions include all that? (Funny story - we tried to watch the deleted scenes from the Pilot with Scully's boyfriend but couldn't figure out how to access them using the xBox controller when the "X" popped up on the video...)

Any thoughts on what is better?

TIA

Honestly not sure. Technically Blueray should be better but it depends on
the quality of the source material.

I do know that Disney+ has the complete series available for streaming on
their new 'Star' channel so that may be an option for you also?

Blueray should be better quality, but I never got into bluerays. If you
already purhase things on iTunes, I think you'll find the best deal
there for digital content vs discs, and I doubt you'll have an issue
with the quality of the HD ones, unless you have a 4K TV, maybe. If you
have a poor internet connection, go the disc route.

I'll buy the original set from you; I have a CRT TV to watch it on ;)
