Too bad they put it on against the #1 show on TV this season NCIS.

They're here! 'V' premieres on ABC - TV Gal - Zap2it

They will only air "four" episodes this year, and then go on hiatus
until next year! Is that any way to treat a new show?

Well it might be a good idea. I found it boring.
I turned the sound off and went back to reading
a technical book on climate change.

The first episode had around 14 million viewers not bad for a show up
against the #1 drama on TV, NCIS! By the way NCIS had over 19 million
viewers in the same time slot. It's kind of weird the way that the
ratings for NCIS "increase" every season instead of the other way
around.
It seems like the same show to me, but I guess a lot of 'new viewers'
just found the show!

I'm of the opinion that there must be a large group of
viewers out there who will not tune in to a new show
until it proves itself to be total crap. That explains NCIS.
Bad acting and bad writing in one package designed to
please the borderline bigot.

Yes but NCIS has a really catchy theme song! It reminds me of the theme
song for the X-FIles the kind of tune you can 'never' get out of your
head. Maybe that is what is drawing the new viewers in.

Maybe they are not actually watching it but
just have it on in the background while they
are busy online or texting friends. This could be
the leading edge of a whole new genre of
TV shows. Ones designed to get people to
turn them on but not so interesting that it
would interfere with their texting.

I don't know, I watch the show, and I like it! I guess I am one of the
20 million people who tune in each week. I think it is the combo of
humour and drama that keeps me interested. And the story lines are
pretty good if you pay attention. Tony and Ziva make a good pair, just
like Scully and Mulder did! LOL!
