Shippy parts lead into MOVIE!!

Hello!!
Ummm....some of the posters here are really happy about the FLIRTATION between
Moose and Squirrel in Detour...but my fellow shippers, you are MISSING THE
POINT!! Before this season started, CC and Spotnitz and DD and GA all said in
interviews that this season is one big TRAILER for the Movie next summer...so,
my hypothesis is that this "increased UST" is a lead in for more shippy stuff
in the movie...so, to paraphrase Scully: Maybe that SLEEPING BAG will drop in
the MOVIE!!

Hi!!
I have to agree with you. As the series approaches its final season (s)
, we will more than likely see big changes in the MS relationship. I
think M has finally realized what a jerk he's been to S all these years
(As big brother Bill so eloquently put it). And although he has a one
track mind when it comes to his beliefs, he may come to the conclusion
that without S he's really got noone. She's the only who believes in
him and who's there for him. (Not even his mom likes him that much).
I'm looking foward to all hoopla because let's face it, CC knows that
what we want is to see them together in the end. (But be prepared to
be patient, we're going to have a long wait!)

Well...Ruby...I've got 2 totally AGREE! That's Xactly what I was thinking
last night after the ep ended....it's all leading up 2 the MOVIE!!!! AHHHHH

Au contraire, dear Ruby. That's just it. We are *not* missing the point. We suspect strongly
where season 5 is headed and it's the enjoyment of the journey and the sweet anticipation that has
both us romantics and 'shippers alike celebrating "RII" and "Detour" and optimistic for what the
rest of the season may hold.
Have faith in us. We really didn't just arrive here from Reticula ;^)

As I've always thought.... if indeed they do "kiss" in the movie (or more),
then it would seem out of place or awkward if somehow during the season their
actions didn't somehow "lead" toward that event. Therefore, more
"'shipper"/"UST" moments would make sense in order for the "kiss" to make sense
in the movie.

There was a enlarged quote a week or two ago from DD in the Entertainment
Weekly (Nov 7, 1997 pg 12) in the "Flashes" section, with
him saying, "There are no aliens. Mulder and Scully fall in love, and it
turns into a angst-ridden thirty-something thing. Hey, sci-fi fans, bet
you can't wait!" when asked to divulge the plot ot the upcoming X-files
movie.

If something does happen in the movie, what becomes of the relationship
in season 6? Once they do it, there's no turning back, at least for us
anyway. I guess CC could always make a dream sequence or something
equally frustrating.
