Jerry Hardin was a semi-reulgar on That Girl (sheesh!) He played Marlo
Thomas's boyrfriend's boss. DT sure gets around. He also was a member
of the short-lived "Filthy Rich" I'm not sure, but he might have also
playedthe gorilla General Urko on Planet of the Apes! --Erron

What was that cop/sitcom show from several years back? Barney something?
"Fish" was a spinoff of it. Anyway, there was an inspector on it that may
have been Hardin. It's been a long time. If it was the same guy then he's
a hell of an actor. Well, I think he is anyway, but you know what I mean.

Barney Miller was on ABC from 1975 to 1982. Inspector Frank Luger was
a 'regular drop-in visitor' on many later episodes. He was played by
actor James Gregory. He looked (died a few years ago) similar to
Jerry Hardin but spoke with a much deeper gravelly voice and slightly
different accent. Oh, and he was funny <g>.

Jerry Hardin's voice is very similar to James Gregory's. The two actors
also look a bit alike. It was Gregory, not Hardin, who appeared in
Barney Miller. It was also Gregory who appeared in the Star
Trek Classic episode Dagger of the Mind. Hardin appeared in TNG When the
Bough Breaks. And in the short-lived Filthy Rich.
Incidentaly, General Urko was played by Mark Lenard in the TV series
Planet of the Apes.

Jerry Hardin also appeared in a season ending cliffhanger of Star Trek:
The Next Generation. He played Mark Twain in the episode where the bridge
crew went back to old San Francisco.

Jerry Hardin has been just about everywhere, from That Girl to TNG. For me,
he's been right up there with Dean Stockwell and Rene Auberjonois as a
familiar and welcome face. :-)
