Someone may have already suggested this but in the few weeks I've been
keeping tabs on this newsgroup I haven't seen anything so....

I was watching Millennium tonight with my roommate (2 of the few people
who seem to think Mil. -might- make it) and a thought popped into my
head: Since Frank Black seems to work a lot with the F.B.I. and
the X-Files is also a FOX/Chris Carter show, why not an X-Files/Millennium
crossover? Even just one episode would be cool, but a multi-episode
case would be even more interesting (to me at least; I don't like most
of the stand-alone episodes, I like in depth multiple episode cases
involving lots of different characters).

My roomie suggested perhaps starting it out on Millennium (Friday night) and
finishing it on the X-Files (Sunday). I think this would also be kind've
interesting (though comic-bookish) and might even be a ratings booster
for Millennium (incentive for the producers). If it were just a one
episode thing, it should be on Millennium; that way we get a double-dose
of our favorite supernatural/conspiracy fighting duo.

Or even just a cameo by Mulder and/or Scully would be interesting...

Most of the cases Frank Black works on are quite strange, to say the
least, and I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to work in an X-Filish
plot somewhere.

Could you imagine Frank Black and Fox Mulder having a converstion over
some totally weird topic? Frank touching things and having visions and
Mulder talking about similar stuff from ancient texts, religions and
newspaper clippings. "Freak show! Freak show! tee-hee."

*shrug* Anyway, just curious as to what other people think about this idea.

I think one of the hardest things for Chris Carter to overcome with
Millennium is the constant comparison to The X-Files. This is partly in
fault by the Powers That Be decision to hype it that way all summer
long. Millennium is a good show that should be given a chance to find
its legs. I think it would be a bad decision to do a crossover so early
in Millennium's lifetime. But I wouldn't rule it out altogether.

You know there was supposed to be a PICKET FENSES/X-FILES crossover with
Mulder and those sick cows with alien DNA!! Mulder was supposed to appear
on Picket Fenses as Agent Mulder for about 5 minutes asking questions why
the cows were sick and if the inhabitants (Tom Skerrit of "Alien") knew of
anything "peculiar"!!

It never happened (although Picket Fenses had their episode with the sick
cows and the X-Files went ahead with their cow/alien DNA episode)! The
*networks execs* of CBS and FOX screwed it up as usual with their foolish
dumb disputes!! It would have been a first in TV history and it almost
happened!

I would have actually owned a Picket Fenses episode if it did!

Because X-Files and Millenium are totally different shows {X-Files is
better}. Frank Black investigates crimes commited by citizens and Mulder
is investigating the government! Besides, Millenium seems to have some
degree of trust in the government.

I think a better crossover would be to have the Sliders gang "slide"
into an X-Files ep. In full view of both Mulder & Scully. He'd
probably wet his pants, she'd find a scientific way to prove that it
never happened. Get Darin to write it and the rest is history.
