Any X-Files/Twin Peaks fans out there?

think? Anyways, before X-Files, Twin Peaks used to be my favorite show. In
fact, when X-Files first debuted I was afraid it was going to some kind of Twin
Peaks rip-off. They do have some similarities. Both focus on a slightly
eccentric FBI agent dealing with some strange paranormal phenomena. X-Files has
the distinction of actually making more sense than Twin Peaks. (I know it's
hard to beleive, but Twin Peaks was actually more confusing... And it only
lasted about two seasons!) And, of course, David Duchovny appeared late in the
show''s run as a cross-dressing FBI agent. (I'm not making this up.)
What I wanted to know is this: Are there any fans of both shows out there? And
wouldn't it be cool to see our favorite duo visit that creepy Northwest town?

I loved Twin Peaks and have it all on tape and watch again. It got down right
silly toward the end... when they decided to have Leland be the murderer, it
should have been Andy and all evidence in the show pointed to that fact. In
fact, maybe he actually was and is still wrecking hovak in the town and Mulder
and Scully must show up to figure it out. Maybe?...

was only 8 years old at the time!!! ;) My father and my uncle got me hooked on
it. :) Now I'm 16, and I am completely, utterly, totally obsessed with the
X-Files...and I have been for 2 and a half years now. I've heard of a lot of TP
fans that now are hooked on XF....

I, too, can see a great many similarities between x-files and Twin Peaks:
paranormal, quirky characters, Federal Agents who would never have made the
cut in real life and shadowly, evil characters whose true identities are
revealed teasingly over a period of time. Indeed, the similarities between
Dale Cooper and Fox Mulder are almost "spooky". Hell, they even look alike!
And the most frightening thing is that, even as Denise, DD is Fox Mulder.
I'm not sure an actual crossover would be in order for the series itself, but
there are a couple of pretty good fanfic available.

made for television. I have all the TP episodes on video and have all 30
episodes about 7 times. I have also visited Snoqualmie (sp?) Falls in
Washington where the Twin Peaks pilot was filmed. I have also visited many
sites out at Malibou Lake here in S. California.
It would be cool to see Mulder and Scully visit the town of Twin Peaks, and
even go for some coffee at the RR Diner; however, this thought has already
been brought up to Chris Carter. He refused to have a crossover.

Really??? Damn. I would SO love to see a crossover. A more natural has never
existed. I would have thought that David Lynch would have been the one to
refuse. Chris Carter is unpredictable, though, so things may change! Maybe
? ? ?

I've been looking for some crossover fanfics, but I can't find 'em anywhere!
My idea would be to have the doppelganger Cooper escape from the asylum
where he undoubtedly ended up and M and S have to go looking for him in Twin
Peaks.
