To everyone who has an X-Files Webpage

Hi,
I recived this letter a few weeks ago. I think everyone who has a
Webpage on The X-Files or any other FOX show should be aware of the
problem and do something about it.
Here it is:
Hi,
I just stopped by your X-Files web site and I was very impressed. The
X-Files definitely has become an extremely popular show and your web
sitemost assuredly reflects that. However, there is a problem.
20th Century Fox has been on a legal rampage, shutting down many X-Files
sites such as yours. This definitely is discouraging, since many of the
sites they are shutting down are even better and more informative than
their "official" site. And Fox isn't stopping at just X-File sites
either. They have been sending cease and desist orders to sites
dedicated to shows such as Millennium, The Simpsons, and King of the
Hill.
Something needs to be done. Now. Before it is too late.
Up until now there have been multiple protest sites springing up all
over the web. However, these protest sites were dedicated to one
particular show such as The X-Files. Unfortunately, it is not just an
X-Files problem and X-File fans, although large in number, are not
enough to stop Fox. It is going to take something more -- it is going
to take one loud voice from all of the sites. This is where you come
in.
A month ago, I started a site to remedy the situation. The site is
called "Fist" and is dedicated to bringing some type of compromise
between Fox and the internet community for ALL of Fox's shows. The site
offers many ways of making our voice heard as well as discussing various
plans of attack.
There are still a great number of people that are totally unaware that
Fox is even shutting down sites at all. Fist is succeeding at spreading
the word and making a difference. However, for this unified protest to
be heard it is going to take your help.
Please take a couple minutes and swing by my site (the address is at the
bottom of this message). Please stop the supporters section and sign
up to become a Fist supporter. By placing a banner on your main X-Files
page you can help to stand up to Fox. It is time to tell them that we
will no longer stand for the site shutdowns. It is time for action. It
is time to show your Fist.
