Okay, the trailer starts out with the 20th Century Fox logo
and the familiar music (replete with blaring trumpets). It then gets
fuzzy like a really bad interlaced black & white TV and starts talking
about how the truth has been obscured in the past and how we can't
believe anything today. While the voiceover is going on we get scenes
of gov't types milling about and shots of what look like laboratories.
We then hear that all this obscuring of the truth and covering up is
going to end now.
We then hear Gillian, in voiceover, say, "Mulder?"
There are then some really quick flashes of numerous scenes.
Some that I can remember are somebody falling into the ground in a
snowy landscape, the back of Mulder & Scully as they're running with
"FBI" on the back of their jackets, Martin Landau (I think) coming to
a pause as some headlights flash at him. The final shot I can
remember is Moose & Squirrel looking above as they're standing by
their car and a bright flash of light hits them. You then hear the
familiar XF theme song in a somewhat mellower key. This flashlight
beam then shines from a black background and moves around a little
before you can see a new XF logo. The logo's kind of hard to describe
with the "X" really big and kind of slanted (that's a bad description,
I know, but it's hard to articulate). It disappears and then you see
"Fight the Future" in red with the premiere date, June 19 (18?), 1998,
underneath. There was no logo for 1013 or any kind shot of the
actors, producers, etc. No rating was given either. The whole
trailer couldn't have been much longer than a minute.
Even though MK is absolutely atrocious, I'm seeing it again
tonight (students get in evening shows for only $3.75) so I can see
the trailer. If you're a die-hard, I'd say it's worth it.
The movie has a name!
Isn't this kind of exciting?
Is anyone out there?

XF related sentence. Didn't Shwartzenalien's acting rock in this movie.
Any way , Hieu just wanted to know what you thought of the moive.
Peorsonaly I thought it was just horrible. Started okay I guess, but after
15 min boy did it stink.
The first one was far better.
The wolf
Nightwolf wins. FATALITY!!
Oooooo you just gave me a little shiver...! Thanks for posting.
I got roped into seeing the (really horrible) Mortal Kombat movie by
some friends of mine, and was sitting there absolutely dreading the film
when the previews came up and I got intrigued by this funny little fuzzy
b&w preview. All of a sudden, screen goes to black, and you hear that
ScullyVoice shout "Mulder!" out from the darkness. It was seriously
kickass, to borrow a phrase from Cartman. I sat through MK with a
permanent grin on my face. Great trailer... I'd advise everyone to wait
for Alien to see it, though. :)

I know, I took my nephew to see Mortal Kombat:Annihilation and when
I heard that voice going on about the media and truth at the
beginning of the trailer, I was thinking it was the trailer for
Tomorrow Never Dies, the new James Bond flick, because it deals
with a media tycoon manipulating the media, even though MGM makes
it, not Fox. Then I heard that shout, "Muulderrr", I dropped my
popcorn, man I got goosebumps from watching the trailer. I can't
wait til summer, and I hopefully get to see the trailer again next
week when Alien:Resurrection comes out, this time I'll be better
prepared and will look for details.
