Okay, I was away for a couple of days this week and if this has been
posted already I apologize.

I read the March 25 article in the Star titled, "My Wild Nights of Love
With David Duchovny" and after thanking God that I am not famous so that
I could read tawdry tabloid stories written about me by all of my
ex-boyfriends and ex-husband, I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants.

It wasn't the candles that set me to tittering. It wasn't the
rest area love-making. It wasn't the poetry in bed. It wasn't the
shaved legs or the half-man, half-beast in bed description. It wasn't
the description of how endowed he is or the 4 or 5 hours of non-stop
lovemaking. It wasn't the Hollywood legendary lover description or
that he made her split the dinner tabs. Nope, what had me giggling
through the entire piece was the "DD the weeper" paragraphs by this
Mandy (not our Pepper) person.

"She says David made love to her surrounded by a sea of flickering
candle flames, then broke into tears listening to classical music."

"Duchovny recited poems and wept as they listened to symphonic and opera
music."

"He would get very emotional about deep things. Beautiful music brought
tears to his eyes."

I thought it was TFWID all over again...with sex. All along we thought
he had no experience at this kind of emoting and now we find out it's a
regular part of his repetoire. ;-)

On behalf of DD though I must say that every woman who has ever spilled
the beans about him and his "relationships" has given him all "A's" in
the lovemaking department. Now, if only some of it would rub off on
Mulder...

Just imagine. Mulder lighting candles for Scully, reading her poetry,
pulling the old Taurus over for a little midday slap and tickle...then
bawling his eyes out over some song on the car radio. Yep, I can see it
all now...

I thought I was the only one who busted the gut out laughing at the checkout stand, reading the
infamous article.
I think it is rather hilarious, very plausible but total non-news. My reaction was "So what?"
Well, at least I got a good laugh out of it for free(like I would buy that trash) and it says
David is great in bed. We all know he's just a guy, not a saint, superhero or a sensitive and
perfect gentleman. He's just a guy and at his age, any other guy would have a dirty laundry or
two. He just happens to be famous. If I were David, I'd be mad, but not too so.

Laura--The whole article got me giggling, but when I got to that part I
started laughing so hard I nearly fell out of my chair . Maybe Mandy's
been catching up on her fanfic reading lately, hmmmm? (And when was the
last time you read the phrase "well-endowed" ...) :-)

Ohmigod... <ROTFL> I just want to know what song would make *Mulder* cry?!
(I'm thinking *not* opera....) :-)

Well of course the next time I passed a 7-11 I stopped for this (got the last
copy - I DO buy that trash when necessary).

DD's seduction technique sounds more like a piece of performance art
than interpersonal communication. What else was Mandy doing during
all the poetry recitation and crying but being his audience? Clearly DD
wants to bring his show to the widest audience possible, but I think
he's going about it the wrong way. I think it's perfect for off-off-
Broadway. Choose a different audience member each night,
and everybody else can watch. But I can't think of a title for it.

Other interesting parts:

There are three pictures of DD with Mandy and he looks adorable.

A bizarrely written article, even for a tabloid. Everything is repeated three
times. Mentioning that he's half Scottish in the section about his stinginess
was just silly.

The Mandy in question is an (apparently unsuccessful) actress and had an
unpleasant breakup with DD, explaining her motives (PR and sweet
revenge) for the story. She's the only DD alumna that I've ever
seen mentioned who had hard feelings towards him, even the ones
(seems to be 100%) that he cheated on. How DOES he manage that?

[snip hilarious summary of article ;-]

Here's the whole transcript, for any completists out there, of the literary
masterpiece composed by the STAR upon discovering and interviewing the one
ex-girlfriend of DD's so far who was been willing to <<Tell All>> publicly.
Only one week late! This issue left the shelves 3 days ago, but hopefully
anyone who *really* wanted their own copies were alerted in time by laura ...

Rug Rat Warning: The full text is a little on the PG-13 side.

MY WILD NIGHTS OF LOVE WITH DAVID DUCHOVNY

"There's something intensely sexual about him ...
he sent a shiver down my spine"

[photo: Mandy, posing slouched from the waist up; in jeans, black tank top,
and floppy black hat. Seems thin, tallish; with long, straight blonde hair
(but brown eyebrows), sculptured features, gray eyes, wide mouth.
Small rose tattoo on left upper arm. Caption]:

Actress Mandy Komlosy had a superpassionate, whirlwind eight-month affair
with X-FILES hunk David Duchovny.

[photo: snapshot, blown up so large it's fuzzy, of DD in a red t-shirt and
some kind of black jacket (?), standing with his head tipped to one side
(towards Mandy); Bad Hair Day (Short Variety); goofy grin; seems either the
camera caught him with his eyes half closed, or he's drunk (as in the pic
with Gillian at a party in THE DUCHOVNY FILES). Beside him, Mandy, wearing
a black beret, smiling widely at the camera. VERY widely -- she's all TEETH]

[photo: DD in foreground, unfocused, in red t-shirt; sitting and looking up
off-camera with either both his hands clasped under his chin or with one of
Mandy's hands clasped to his shoulder; Bad Hair Day (Long Variety); beaming.
Mandy seated by him, either with one hand clasped in his or with one hand on
his shoulder; navy t-shirt, looking forward at camera seriously. Caption]:

Mandy says heartthrob David "was the best lover I had ever had ...
He was like nothing on earth ... He was that good. He seemed to shed his
normal self and turn into something superhuman -- half-man, half-beast."
But despite the passion between them, the romance could not stand
the strain of David's growing fame and it ended when Mandy was told
he had been cheating on her.

[Text; no byline]:

HUNKY David Duchovny of X-FILES fame is a superstar in bed too,
reveals a sexy actress who had a passionate romance with him.
"David is an out-of-this-world lover," says 31-year-old Mandy Komlosy,
who dated David for eight months before he hit it big on THE X-FILES.
"He's a monster between the sheets." But David, who plays FBI agent Mulder
in the hit sci-fi TV series, is also an incurable romantic, she insists.

She says David made love to her surrounded by a sea of flickering
candle flames, then broke into tears listening to classical music.

"The thin that makes David a better lover than the rest is that
he's very intense ... he loved to read me his poetry afterward."
Mandy's romance with Duchovny, 35, began in 1992 after
a top Hollywood agent agreed to launch their acting careers.
Mandy, who was living with L.A. LAW star Amanda Donohoe
in Beverly Hills, recalls:
"I met David at a dinner party thrown by our agent in Los Angeles,
and there was an instant spark between us. There was something intensely
sexual about David that sent a shiver down my spine. He wooed me with
his clean shaven legs -- something he had to do for his cross-dressing
character on TWIN PEAKS. One of the first things he asked me to do was
shave his legs. Then he wanted to know if he could touch my legs to see
how they felt -- so I let him. And his were smoother than mine!
"I was overwhelmed by a very strange feeling, an overpowering
feeling of destiny. It was as though we were meant for each other.
"After a whirlwind romance we made love on our third date.
He was the best lover I had ever had. It sounds corny, but he was
like nothing on earth.
"The first time we made love, he created it so that it would be
a mystical experience. He was that good.
"Over dinner, David came across as the clean-cut, all-American guy,
just like Agent Mulder. But in bed he seemed to shed his normal self and
turn into something superhuman -- half-man, half-beast.
"We went back to his home in Santa Monica. He put on some soft
music, turned down the lights and lit candles all around the room.
"The flickering lights bobbing around in bowls of water made it
look like an altar. Very spooky, but very romantic -- almost dreamlike.
We began kissing, then he caressed my body gently. Within seconds we
were tearing each other's clothes off and making love on the floor.
"David has a gorgeous body, very fit and muscular. I gasped when
I looked below his waist -- he was so well-endowed. He satisfied me three,
four times a night. I was ecstatic and I drifted off into another world.
"He was very adventurous, but at the same time very gentle and caring
-- very intimate and exciting. We made love for four or five hours nonstop.
"Afterward we lay there in the shadow of the flickering candles
and he would read some of his poetry to me. I fell in love with him
right there and then."
Mandy says she planned to marry David -- and for the next eight
months they were inseparable lovers.
When the first X-FILES episodes catapulted him to fame almost
overnight, Duchovny still found time for nights of love with Mandy. The
kinky star insisted leggy Mandy wear short skirts, silk stockings, garter
belts and lacy underwear. After their passionate love sessions, Duchovny

recited poems and wept as they listened to symphonic and opera music.

"David mixed with some of Hollywood's sexiest women -- Madonna,
Sharon Stone, Michelle Pfeiffer ... but he only had eyes for me. He was
very impulsive and loved to have sex at all hours of the day and night,
wherever we were. Black silk underwear really turned him on. I remember at
one party in Beverly Hills, dozens of beautiful women were trying to chat
David up, but I could clearly see him looking over their heads to look at me.
"I told him beforehand that I was wearing very tantalizing lingerie.
Afterward we tore each other's clothes off and we made love for hours.
"Another time we were driving home in the middle of the day and
I could see him looking at my legs. He was getting very hot and steamy.
Suddenly he pulled over into a rest area on the side of the road and we
had sex right there and then.
"In company, David comes across as very Ivy League, very intelligent
and charming, just like his character on his show. But between the sheets,
he's an absolute animal.
"He liked sex in different positions and he enjoyed experimenting.
He was a sex addict. There was a real buzz around Hollywood that he was
a legendary lover. Women would throw themselves at him. But he had a
very sensitive, artistic side to him -- like when we would lie in bed
and he would quote lines from poems he had written.

"He would get very emotional about deep things. Beautiful music
brought tears to his eyes."

But after eight months, the romance began to die.
One problem, Mandy says, is that David was very tightfisted --
he would often make her pick up half the tab when they went out to eat.
She fumes: "David wined and dined me at some of the world's most
exclusive restaurants. I thought he was a real gentleman when he invited
me out. But I was shocked when he asked me for half the bill.
"I was horrified he would treat me this way. I am by no means
a sponger, but I am used to a bit of chivalry." The half-Scottish actor
also wanted Mandy to spend less time with her British acting friends --
and become more American. "The Brits in Hollywood stick together ...
I was very close with Amanda Donohoe, Gary Stretch, Patsy Kensit,
Catherine Oxenberg and all the British and Australian rockers."
The final straw came eight months into the relationship when Mandy
was told that Duchovny has been cheating on her. "It broke my heart
... I'd been faithful to David during our entire relationship.
I loved him dearly, and deep down he was the man I wanted to marry.
"One night I phoned and asked to come to Amanda Donohoe's house.
He said no and gave me a cold excuse. The next week a friend told me
he was seen with another woman. We just called it a day."
