In the case of Lazarus, I've heard that NBK was being edited for about 9
months prior to its release. That might imply a leak from Stone's camp.
Who knows?

Yup, Lazarus was definitely a rip-off of Natural Born Killers. I saw NBK
on Friday afternoon and tuned into X-file that night and I was pissed. It
ruined the whole experience knowin' that the writers had pilfered NBK.
Remember, the story behind Natural Born Killers has been circulating in
Hollywood for year now. Quentin Tarantino wrote if in the '80s, long
before Resevoir Dogs or True Romance hit it big. So I'm sure the storyline
and the marriage bit were circulating long ago.
