Actually, it's rather interesting. It's available on interlibrary loan
from Mudd Library at Princeton. And it isn't his master's thesis; he did
not write one. Yale does not require a thesis for the MA (my authority
for this is the Graduate Advisor in English at Yale herself, in a private
phone conversation, summer 1994). David never finished his PhD
dissertation. What you are referring to as his thesis is his senior thesis
at Princeton, submitted "in partial fulfillment of requirements for the
A.B. degree". Thus in our search for David's writings, we are left with
all 155 pages of "The Schizophrenic Critique of Pure Reason in Beckett's
Early Novels", written by the 22 year old David Duchovny. Very
illuminating. Until David's collected works come out in print, it's all
we have of his writing saving his article for InSide Sports on basketball.
It almost makes it worth the time reading Beckett.
