Mine is Agent Spender. He is such a dork, and mean about his disabled mother.

Chock another point to Spender. The boy has the appearance of a middle aged
Federal Agent, but the attitude and maturity level of a 3 year old.

Also, no less hated are Diana Fowley (no explanation needed) and Marita (even
though the last time we saw her she was on a surgical table infected with the
Black Oil at the hands of the Syndicate...teehee!!)

Diana Fowley tops my list. It's easy to see why she must go. (Why couldn't
someone with better aim have shot her!) Everyone should go to the Diana Fowley
Task Force: http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Studio/1476/

Agent Spender is next in line. My hope for season six is the FBI moves Spender
and Fowley to the Antartica for a long term assignment. Or, Scully will kick
Fowley's ass (PLEASE), and Mulder will do the same to Agent Spender.

Ordinary Agent Spender probably tops the list right now, but of all the cardboard
cut-out characters littering S5, Spender probably has the most potential. There's
room for him to transform. Diana, on the other hand, can only grow more irritating.
However, my all-time most-hated has to be Scully's obnoxious Mulder-hating brother.
Damnit, why didn't *he* catch a bullet instead of her sister!

To understand Bill Scully is to understand a brother who came from the
military family of which they came, and I'm sure Dana had not talked at
all about her feelings for Mulder, (which of course, she doesn't know
herself) nor the experiences that they have shared. All he sees is his
sisters life, alone, in a dangerous occupation and with this male
partner that he feels is taking advantage of his sisters
vulernability. Bill Scully's feelings and fears for his sister are
understandable. It also appears that Mulder understands this also.
when Bill and Mulder finished their discussion outside Scully's hospital
room and the phone rang, Mulder answers "one sorry son of a bitch
speaking" and it sure sounded as if he meant it...

I have to kinda disagree with this one. The most annoying characters are people
who seem to live to make other people miserable. If I were Bill though,I think
I'd be behaving the same way. After all, Scully is his little sister and ever
since she's been involved with this weird Mulder guy ,look whats happened to
her??? All kinds of bad shit, plus his other sister gets killed....he has alot
of reasons to dislike Mulder. And Mulder doesn't exactly have real good "play
along" skills.

Well, I like Krycek and CSM, but I agree with your list otherwise. I'm not
sure if your actually supposed to like Diana's character, but that doesn't
change anything. Another addition I would add to my list would be *ducks for
cover* 'The Lone Gunmen'. Maybe "hate" is too strong. Five minutes in an
episode...great! But, 'Unusual Suspects' was not one of my season five
highlights...

Hands down - Well-fed man. Bad actor, bad dialogue, bad teeth. Why did you
kill WMM 1013, why damn you? Couldn't the Chunky Italian take it instead?

A close second Marita. Bad acting followed by zero charaterization. Why did
you let her survive her coma 1013, why damn you?

I like Mimi Rodgers as an actress, but I'm afraid they are just trying to
set her character up to make Scully jealous, which I think is very stupid. I
hope they don't waste a talent like her. Make her a smart insider for the
Consortium. It would be so cool to see a kickass woman villain. Or how 'bout
this novel concept, Scully and Fowley working together as a team instead of
stupid cat fights over Mulder?

I feel nothing but apathy towards Spender. I don't care enough about him to
hate him.

Sadly, I think the prime candidate for the title of "Most Hated" just really
never got much of a chance: Special Annoyingly Smug Agent Tom Colton. I'd
hope to see Colton return for a few episodes so newer viewers can get a good
hate on for him, then kill him off in a sad, senseless method (ie: botulism
from a can of Dinty Moore).

Diana as a Consortium member would be interesting... It would be great to see
a strong woman villain instead of wishy washy, I'm-on-the-fence Marita.
Dianas as Mulder's ex-wife would also be interesting... Scully kicking
Diana's ass would rock, :) but only after Dianas has made M & S's lives hell
for awhile.

Would someone *please* tell me what Mimi Rodgers has been in that proves she's
worth anything as an actress? Diana Fowley was nothing but a boring plot
device, and Lost in Space was stupid. I'd be willing to give her a chance, but
someone's got to point me in the right direction.

As for my least favorite character, I don't hate Diana Fowley, I'm just bored
by her. Spender is an ass, but he adds tension. I think my least favorite
recurring character is Marita, and my least favorite one-time character is the
nasty sheriff from "The List."

Well, I saw the Rapture before I became "focused" and she rocked in that. DD
was just eye candy, it was totally her movie. It was very interesting seeing
her play a woman slowly slipping into insanity and at the end, make a stand
that's worthy of Dante's Inferno. I also thought she was good in "Someone to
Watch Over Me."

I'll agree with you, Eric. I would love to Colton finally dealt with in an
appropriate manner. If not a senseless death, then perhaps being transferred
to a field office in some back water region. I'd volunteer Bismarck, ND

Thanks, Eric. It's nice to meet someone who actually knows where North Dakota
is. After the whole "Buffalo Commons" thing that was written about the
Dakotas (I can't remember if Montana was included in that) a couple of
years ago, one tends to get a little depressed about the old homestead. I
spent a couple of vacations traveling around Manitoba and Saskatchewan (plus
many school trips up to Winnipeg). We, of superior stock, definitely know
that Colton is truly most deserving of a well-plotted death scene.
