So tell me, ATXD... Are the XF DVDs worth the $$?

Howdy,

Several people have told me about extras and missing scenes that are in the
DVDs. If you know my fanfic, you know my tastes (MSR, angst, tender hand
clasps, yadda yadda).

Does anyone think there's enough worth meriting spending all that money on the
DVDs? Mind you, I haven't got a lot of disposable income since I bought a
house that needs work on EVERYTHING! :)

Yes, yes, and yes! :D

Try eBay as well as Amazon, um, and I think there's Half.com too...and a
Canadian site, the name of which completely escapes me.

The extra's are nice, I was hoping for more MSR insight, but I took what it
offered, and was pretty happy. Personally it wouldn't have been worth it to
spend near the MSRP. However the $200 I spent on Season's 1-8 was well
worth the wait for it to ship from Honk Kong. A bit of reflection on the
mushier scenes in the series was a treat, and you can play your favorite
parts over and over and over, with zoom.

Bill Scully. And that scene from MM. His scene from MM, too.

No, seriously, I like the deleted scenes, the commentary which is darned
interesting, the fx stuff. I think the games are on the discs, too?

I have purchased 5 seasons so far from Hong Kong on e-bay, (but make sure its a
reputable dealer first. I accidentally bid on someone with no experience and it
took 2 months to get the DVD) The cheapest of which I got for only $10, with an
additional discount on shipping for a multiple purchase. Thats pretty worth it
to get to go back and watch it in order from the begining with this 11 years
after insite! Especially since I didn't start watching till season 4 and have
watched them so out of order and read so much fanfic, I'm not sure what we knew
when and what was made up in fanfic. I love watching them and saying to myself,
"Oh thats the episode where we learned such and such".
