Kevin Spacey (Mel Profitt) -- still being the fabulous Kevin Spacey.
William Russ (Roger Lococco) -- still the Dad on 'Boy Meets World'.
Anthony John Denison (John Ragland) -- where the heck is he these days??
2. I think actor Paul Winfield also passed away a couple
years ago.

major rock band he's really a member of.

As an addition to this, it turns out the woman who sued
Sharkey wasn't quite as unsuspecting as she claimed in her
suit. She meet Ray at an AA meeting so would have been
well aware of his past heroin addiction. Something that
automatically put him in the high risk group for HIV
infection. Yet she took no action to protect herself by
insisting that he wear a condom. She also admitted that
she slept with quite a few other men and never used condoms
with them either. I'm not excusing Ray entirely, but women
should take the initiative for protecting themselves, not
depending on someone else to do what they should automatically
be doing as a matter of course. If you're going to engage in
potentially dangerous activity then you should be prepared to
accept the consequences instead of picking a rich exboyfriend
to blame for your own poor judgement. This isn't just my
opinion, but one voiced by Monica herself as well a couple of
years ago.

Yes, he did, but I'm not sure of the cause.

Wasn't he in the Eagles? The main thing I remember him for
is Smuggler's Blues that they used on MIAMI VICE.

But you seem to be trying your damndest. :)
Didn't he infect a number of women? Isn't that why they called him "The
Johnny Appleseed of AIDS" in magazine articles following his death? And
didn't he lie about his infection up until practically the moment of his
death? Blaming the person (or in this case, people) who believes an
habitual liar, instead of the liar himself, runs out of steam pretty
quickly.
You may have found him charismatic and all, but from where I'm sitting,
Ray Sharkey was a bad, bad man.
Some words from the late Bill Hicks:
"Ted Bundy's on trial in Florida, killed 24 women, and the papers say
the courtroom is filled with women trying to meet him, and give him love
letters and WEDDING FUCKING PROPOSALS!! . . . What exactly are you
ladies looking for, here? (Ted) must have been heavy on the sense of
humor thing you seem to love so much in your little ladies' polls . . .
I guarantee you Satan's gonna have no problems on this planet, 'cause
all the women are gonna go 'what a cute butt!' . . .

Elena Monica publicly admitted herself several years ago that she
bore some of the blame as well in this. Are you saying you know
more than she does?

And you got all this from reputable rag sheets like THE STAR and THE
NATIONAL ENQUIRER? If he infected all the women they claimed then
how come we've never heard of them? How come there weren't more suits?
As for hiding it, according to the New England Medical Associtiation the
majority of people infected do that, not just Ray, so pretending he was
an aberration for doing so doesn't hold water. Just like patronizing
attitudes.

A slight correction about Paul Winfield. He is ALIVE and WELL and working
hard in the T.V. and Film Business.
Perhaps you might be thinking about Jason Bernard (who looks like Paul
Winfield) and appeared in "Wiseguy" episode: "Day Nine" 1989. Jason
Bernard passed away in 1996 of a heart attack.

Hey, what does this have to to with Wiseguy?
JCX
I don't know if Elena has access to this newsgroup, or your . . .
interesting slant on her and Sharkey's relationship, which is all I'm
commenting on. So, in that respect, yes, I would guess that I know more
than she does.
> And you got all this from reputable rag sheets like THE STAR and THE

What's with the personal attack, precious? I never said that. But the
answer is no, I didn't. Tabloid rags never entered into my discussion,
as I don't read them.
> If he infected all the women they claimed then

Well, millions of people have AIDS. We don't hear about every case.
I've read interviews, WITH SHARKEY, in which the author described him as
skeletal and barely able to breathe, insisting he didn't have AIDS.

Then you just answered the question immediately previous, I guess.
Is it not SLIGHTLY possible that Sharkey, while doing a very good job
on our favorite TV show, at teh same time deserves a BIT more blame
placed at his feet than "I'm not excusing him entirely"? You sound like
a vice principal who doesn't feel like investigating a locker room
fight.
looks like ??? Don't forget that Paul Winfield, who played Isaac Twine,
is a black actor and that Jason Bernard, who played "the invisible mr.
Wilson" from Utah is a white actor ... :-)
I think you're confusing with George O Petrie, who died 2 years ago ...

Of course, it's MORE than slightly possible. But it's also possible he was so
freaked out by public condemnation of anyone with AIDS, and still praying for
acting roles, that he was in major denial. And you also have to take into
account . . . the man is dying . . .and some people cannot acknowledge being
struck with a fatal disease, whether it's cancer or a communicable disease.
The man died when . . . 1993? You had the entire Reagan and Bush
administrations doing zip to acknowledge AIDS as a disease, as opposed to some
wrath from God. And there are still some folks who think if you have AIDS,
you're gay. Being gay is not good, in the public mind. It would've been great
if Sharkey had the balls to speak openly about AIDS and how he got it, but
there were wasn't exactly a mob scene of declarations.

TV doesn't have to be dumb. You can have a voice. If you want to be part of

Good points. However, I'm not condemning Sharkey for not having "balls"
and speaking out. Each person must decide that sort of thing for
themselves. I would never judge someone for the manner in which they
dealt with something as traumatic as AIDS.
Simply put, I can't excuse the fact that he knowingly infected another
human being with a fatal illness. That's the bottom line for me.
I don't get it. How do you know when he knew he was sick? Cause people lie to
themselves all the time.
Can we talk about some Wiseguy here?
JCX
Ahhhhhhh.....that rock n' roll thing will never catch on......just a
fad....why even pay attention? :)
Ah, no, Jason Bernard was black.....the invisible Mr. Wilson was played by
someone else.....
hmmmm I don't remember the name right now.
Something's not right here. The "invisible Mr. Wilson" was played by
Ford Rainey, a character actor most active in the 1950s and 1960s.

My mistake ! I always thought that "the invisible mr. Wilson" was Jason
Bernard. But Jason Bernard played the black minister who leaded the
closed hearings in the last episode of the DC arc. So indeed, a bigger
chance to confuse Jason Bernard with Paul Winfield. :-)

Did you say that Jason Bernard died too, vicus? That's too bad.
Vista
He wasn't a minister, he was a fed of some type, a member of Congress or a
special investigator, or....well, he was a fed of some type, I know that.
I think there were just 2 important black actors in the DC arc : Stan
Shaw and the attorney general. If Jason Bernard is a black actor then it
must be the attorney general ... Or not ?

Indeed, he was the Attorney General of the United States.
