Ive read the FAQ, but am still confused. Ive got a very*unusually* low and
resonant voice, and I have been doing radio spots and theatre since I was
11(my voice changed at that time). I live in NC, and have a full ISDN
capable studio( I am a recording enthusiast). The last 10 years of my life
have been spent in the military(also did a lot of scripts for Military
Events and MCing work) in Germany, but I am really on fire to use my voice
now that I am back stateside. I have been a professional singer for 14
years, but I am rather burned out with singing and just want to
talk/read...the Divas and Waterwalkers in the Opera realm are just too
much. My question is...

1) is there still a place for big bass voices(if youve seen the movie 300,
I sound very similar to the bad guy/pagan god that the persians were
fighting)

2.) do "voice agencies" exist, or do I have to freelance?

3.)I have a ton of scripts and know what I want to record..who are THE
people to send it to? I have no idea how to go about this. When I was doing
theatre and had a film agent, I knew the steps, but this is a new realm for
me.

4.) websites, experts, books, magazines, exercises that may be of
assistance??

(aside)
Folks that are bitter and burned out, cant get work, or that are just plain
hateful...please refrain from posting in this thread. I am trying to get
good info, not be a sounding board for those of you that didnt succeed and
are bitter about it,or for the "times have changed and it sucks"crowd; I
welcome honesty, but dont have much tolerance for folks that whine and moan
just to make those around them miserable..(/aside)

Thank yall very very much! It is very much appreciated, more than yall
know.
