Hi folks.
As the subject says, I'm new to this group and actually at age 52 am new to
working with voice over. No, I haven't recorded aything yet. I want info on
the sure fire way to make money and work my way up.

I have been told for many years that I should be in radio but I never
pursued the idea. I am willing to pursue the idea of voice over recording or
even doing voice over as a free lance artists ( I think everyone that does
this is a free lancer, aren't they?)

Anyway, any and all input will be deeply appreciated (unless it's someone
telling me the field is too crowded and I'll never get anywhere. If I can
make enough to pay for my microphone that I can't really use for live
performance, I"d be very happy)

Thanks, folks.

This link will give a lot of insight, VO is not for everyone,
including those who have been told they have a great voice and should
be in radio/cartoons/etc. Very few, and I mean very few, people make
money at VO, so as the thread in the link says, listen, ask yourself
if you are really cut out for it, then TRAIN, TRAIN, TRAIN, then
MARKET, MARKET, MARKET. And please don't give it away just because you
are starting out, that just brings rates down for the rest of us. Good
luck!
