As I said over on atgg in a similar thread: Lauren clearly saw that
the Cupid revival was fatally miscast with the wholly inappropriate
Bobby Cannavale (who, mind you, I've liked since Third Watch) in the
role.
RT should never be allowed to cast his shows.

LORELAI: I am so done with plans. I am never, ever making one again.
It never works. I spend the day obsessing over why it didn't work
and what I could've done differently. I'm analyzing all my shortcomings
when all I really need to be doing is vowing to never, ever make a plan
ever again, which I'm doing now, having once again been the innocent
victim of my own stupid plans. God, I need some coffee.

It's cute how people in a relationship know each other's thought
processes and can finish each other's sentences, even in a creepy
stalker/stalkee relationship only one of them knows exists.
Sniff. No, I'm not crying. Something got in my eye.
Sniff. No, I'm not crying. I'm just condescending to you that you
don't know snarky speculation when it's right there in front of you.
Any closer and it'd bite you in the face.

More like arrogant presumption that Graham shares your personal
opinion about Cannavale (which you shared when his casting was
announced), with no way for her to refute you.
The cast of VM was great. I thought the cast of the original Cupid was very
good. It seems to me that Rob Thomas, as opposed to ShutUpRob, is very good
at casting.
As for Cannavle, I have no opinion since I don't think I have ever seen him
in anything.

Little gems like this are the reason I still bother to check in on this

Dude, it's Usenet. Like I'm really, really expecting her to show up
here and mistake my speculation for your outright accusation that I'm
putting words into her mouth.
Which I have to state outright to teh sarcasm-impaired on Usenet,
apparently.
"Lauren clearly saw that
the Cupid revival was fatally miscast with the wholly inappropriate
Bobby Cannavale" is something everyone should understand is
speculation? To avoid future confusion you may want to use words like
"maybe," "possibly," "probably" if you really feel daring, and maybe
preclude those with "I think."

How could the above possibly be sarcastic? What are you being
sarcastic towards??
Toward Rob Thomas, silly. Honestly, I'm surprised I have to tell you
these things. RT is the one that tries to listen to teh internets
(particularly to TwoP -- he readily admitted to doing so at Comic-Con
between s2 and s3 -- and then makes the wrong choices. As a result,
IMO, he should never be allowed to make any decisions regarding his
own shows other than writing them -- and even then, somebody should
put him on a very, very short leash to make sure that he doesn't steal
a plot from another movie, as his theft of Scream for the rapist
storyline on VM was bad enough.
Cannavale is great. Period. Enough said...
