Well, Shelley, as you know, is actually the killer. (Leland/BOB are innocent
as we learn in 2021 when Leland's doppleganger says, "I did not kill
anybody.") Shelley is possessed by an OWL named JUDY. This is obvious
because Shelley is often seen near food and JUDY is related to the creamed
corn. (FWWM, the monkey says, "JUDY" after Leland eats the creamed corn.)
Shelley also prepares the food which Laura takes around on M.O.W in the RR
station wagon. Creamed Corn is part of these deliveries, and the GOOD OWLS
know creamed corn is evil. (2004: Mrs Tremond is afraid of the creamed corn.
And her magician son makes the Creamed Corn disappear. NB: The son is a
DUGPA, one of the WL magicians that Wydom Earl tells Leo about in 2019)
I believe that JUDY travels around through Creamed Corn, just as the LMFAP
travels around through Electricty. (FWWM: LMFAP says, "electricity" during
Agent Jefferies' hallucination about the Black Lodge.) Laura learned that the
creamed corn was evil and tried to remove it from the M.O.W route,
Shelley/JUDY learned of this and killed her.) LMFAP is trying to stop
Shelley/JUDY. You can only get to the WL where the LMFAP lives through the
twelve sycamore trees. Trees are made of wood. OWL spirits often live in
wood. (Josie's spirit trapped in the drawer pull in 2011.) Often people knock
on wood to ask good spirits to bring them good luck. So.... When
Shelley/Judy says, "Seconds on Knockwurst this morning?" It is a veiled
threat in the form of a pun. It means "If you summon the LMFAP by
KNOCKing on wood, I will make things WORSE for you!" Knock-worse.
Knockwurst.
See? It's obvious.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that Leland/BOB were at least
*partly* involved...
considering we saw Leland/BOB kill her in FWWM
i'll be the first to admit that little on TP is actially what it
seems...
but i mean... come on...
don't put the blame on sweet, innocent shelly
you may as well blame it on Alicia Witt as donna's little
sister,Gretchen or whatever her name was,
she seems pretty vile considering her godawful poetry
flaws that i noticed:

i believe this was intended as *leland* stating that he didn't kill
anybody...
insinuating that it was all BOB's doing

Judy still remains a mystery...
i personally believe that Judy is the inhabiting spirit of Maj Briggs
since the only other reference to Judy is when he is injected with
haloperidol by Earle,
and says,"Garland? what an odd name. ***JUDY*** Garland?"
i believe that both Briggs and Margaret are agents of the WL, the series
just never went into any real depth about it

interesting, but is hard to back up (as in the creamed corn=public
transit)
i personally took the creamed corn to be a physical representation of
garmonbozia (pain and suffering),
which sustains members of the BL,
hence, WL minions fear it, for it is 'evil' and also because they do not
want to give into the temptaion of BL 'power'

this i don't get...
drawing conclusions from loose connections...
and how does all this apply to the other murders?
particularly Teresa Banks?

i always thought the referance to knockwurst was a phallus euphimism
since Helga or wahtever her name was (good with minor character names
today, aren't i?)
was german

While it may be true that Leland/BOB are moderately involved in the murders, I
believe it is Shelley/JUDY pulling the strings. (This is illustrated in FWWM
when BOB pulls creamed corn, which he calls Garmonbozia from Lelands stomach.)
Since the corn comes from inside Leland/BOB, we learn that Leland suffers from
TWO inhabiting spirits: BOB, and then a spirit which guides BOB, ie: JUDY, who
travels in the creamed corn. (Remember that Leland eats corn and then
immediately turns into a monkey and calls it by its names, "Judy.")
>don't put the blame on sweet, innocent shelly
It is because Shelley is so innocent that I believe she MUST be the main host
for JUDY. Is it not strange that all the evil characters in Twin Peaks come
into contact with her, yet she remains seemingly pure at all times? It is as
if she is the hub for all the Black Lodge happenings in TP - "The evil in
these old woods" that Truman talks about.

I agree that Maj Briggs and the LL are denizens of the WL, that is why I
don't think Briggs can possibly be inhabited by JUDY, since she is obviously
evil. (Jefferies "We're not going to talk about Judy. We're not gonna mention
Judy at all." He is clearly afraid of her.)
>and how does all this apply to the other murders?
>particularly Teresa Banks?
I'm not sure why JUDY would want Terresa Banks dead. Perhaps Lynch/Frost
intended to explore that in the third season. To me, we have not been given
enough clues in this regard, since we were never given the opportunity to see
Teresa near creamed corn.
