My high school English class is currently studying surrealism (Magritte
paintings and West novels). Anyways, after on class, I go up to my teacher
and say, "You ever watch Twin Peaks?" She goes, "Yeah, why?" I say, "Maybe
we should watch an episode of it."

To put a long story short, this Wednesday we are watching an episode of Twin
Peaks in my English class. Some 25-40 people may be there to watch it
(another class may come). Is this not one of the coolest things that could
happen in a school (I might get some extra credit, too)?

Just felt like telling ya...

Which Ep. are you gonna watch? I guess Ep. 2 would be the most suitable
right? Being the Red Room dream and all...

Ep. 29 is also the very height of surrealism, but watching it first would
ruin the series for any potential future peakers that may be in your class,
I guess...

That's even cooler than when we finished our Streetcar Named Desire unit
by watching "Oh Streetcar!" from the Simpsons.

We probably are going to watch episode 2 with me giving some background on
what happens beforehand... hence extra credit

That's the spirit... mass-tp-conversions... I have got a friend eagre to
be converted to Twin Peaksism, but I don't want him to watch the pilot
on his own, because I don't want him to see the alternate ending...

Go peaks-freaks...

One day we will inherit the earth!!!! *roar*

That's exactly right of you. I take the same precaution with all my
victims.

We just finished watching one day of the show (My teacher got the pilot...
:( ).
So far I would say that half the class likes it a lot while the other half
appreciates its "art" value. I'll let you know more soon

Perhaps you could subtly change the class into a strictly
Twin Peaks course?
Gradually lead them into it...
until there are NO other topics discussed...
I know it's gotta be possible! ;)

Perhaps Gary Jukes can email your teacher the final exam?

What a cool thing to talk about in class, Twin Peaks. Did anybody have
any interesting insights in your class?

Something similar happened about half a year ago at my school. I'm doing a
media studies class, and I showed episode two, and talked about Twin Peaks
(ep 2 in particular) and David Lynch for a few hours. I have a strong
supicion that earned me some extra credit.
