Have we seen anything of Gina, the secret service agent since the
assignation attempt? Or are we to assume she was put out of commission?

I had seen a talk show last year where one of the actors stated that a
major character would be killed in that attempt.

(I realize Jorga Fox is now starring in CSI.)

I wonder that myself. I would like to see her again as there seems to be
unfinished business with her. Recall she couldn't identify the signal's cap
which is probably a pretty big blunder.

Who is the actress? She looks so familiar...

Jorja Fox is prolly best known, before TWW, for playing Dr. Maggie
Doyle on ER. This season she's been starring in CSI, on CBS Friday at
9pm.

and, of course, as always, IMDB is your friend for other roles. :)

i don't think so. nothing in the premiere really gave me the impression that
gina was going to be reassigned because of anything that happened. after all,
she did her job correctly. she couldn't give a very good ID on the guy, but she
protected zoey, she alerted the other agents and she apparently got them a good
enough identification that they were able to use it (along with, i presume,
other eye witnesses and previously existing files) to get the guy pretty
quickly. it wasn't her job to secure the buildings or keep an eye on things
outside while everyone was inside.

afaik, those who would be in charge of such things have left the door open,
saying that jorja's welcome to come back. i'm not sure if anyone thought CSI
would be the kind of hit that it's become.

wait...when you say "out of commision", are you asking if she was killed? she
wasn't...no one was. off the top of my head i don't remember any of the cast
teasing that a major cast member would die, but even if they did they also lied
up and down every time anyone asked them what would happen, so that was just
talking.

Yes, that's what I meant.

I kinda gave up on ER when it stopped being a drama, and because a soap
opera. And CSI looks to much like a jiggle show-not that there is
anything wrong with jiggle shows, it is just that, well, you
know...you're not supposed to admit watching *those* shows. Like people
told pollsters they voted Nader so they'd look "sophisticated."

I thought she looked a lot like Amy Brenneman (sp?) a NYPD Blue regular
in the first season or so. And I think that actress has her own show
"Judging Amy" now. As I say, my dyslexic brian acts up sometimes...

Thanks for the info.

I haven't seen all of the episodes of CSI, but from what I have seen, it
doesn't appear to be a jiggle show at all. It takes place in Vegas but I
don't think I've seen any showgirls so I don't think it's like the old
Robert Urich series "Vegas."

I hear it's gotten good reviews. The latest one I saw was interesting with
a subplot of telling how long a person has been dead by the development of
the bugs on the body. Okay, that sounds a bit gross, doesn't it? But if
you're like me and sometimes like to watch those Discovery shows about
forensic medicine, you'd think you were watching one of those. Jorja Fox
had a wonderful part in that episode, really feeling for the victim, an
abused wife. I wonder if there's some history there that we'll hear more
about.

you might want to try actually watching the show, because i think you've been
sorely misinformed. there is nary a jiggle in CSI and if there were it would be
pretty out of place.

i was pretty skeptical about the show before it aired, but after coming to the
party a little late, i have to admit that i like it. william peterson is a
*big* surprise for me (he's never shown up on my radar) and jorja and marg are
both very well suited for their roles.

As was said in part II of the season opener, Gina was not responsible
for anything that happened. She got her charge in the car, which was
her only job. SHE felt like she had failed in the hat scene, but no
one else did. (And I fully assume that an hour or so later, after
calming down, and doing some memory excersises, she could remember the
details).

wait... how many story lines involved the daughter (what's her name) this
season so far? maybe that's why you havent seen her... ditto for the SS
guy who was shot in the hand when he was riding with the prez in the
limo...

btw, she's cool in CSI, which in itself is a cool show... both shows kinda
have the same thing... to me. in WW, the prez seems to be mr.
know-it-all. and ditto that for the male lead in CSI...

POTUS' daughter's name is Zoe. And, wasn't the agent [the guy shot in
the hand] riding with him in the main limo the head of the SS??

yeah...ron is in charge of the president's detail. i would've expected to see
him at the kennedy center in "galileo", but i guess it wasn't completely
necessary.

Gina's responsibility for what happened is not in question: her failure was
to recall details concerning the signal.

Her only job was to protect her charge and getting her in the car was
fulfilling this in the immediate. She did accomplish the most important part
of her job, however, total fulfilment would require aiding in the capture of
the signal, including positive identification for detainment and
prosecution.

This failure would be held against her. By her superiors? By Zoey? (not
likely). By POTUS...???

I do like your scenario where she calms down and recalls details; it has a
ring of actuality.

Thomas
