I was channel surfing and stopped on the movie Speed for a bit. I thought I
caught dear ole Richard as the subway driver (very short scene, very deadly end
to his character). Could it be?

Yes, that is indeed Richard Schiff.

as someone already posted, yup. i haven't seen speed, but it's listed
under his credits on imdb.

i remain convinced that if one has cable, with a little channel surfing
you can see some cast member in some movie or rerun of another show
every five hours. :)

only somewhat related: i rented presumed innocent today since i
remembered john spencer's great performance in that one, and was more
than pleasantly surprised to see bradley whitford in it, too. :)

not even *all* of cable...you really just need the starz package. i
swear...there's a movie on every single day with one of the WW people in it.
this afternoon they showed "lesser prophets" (john) followed by "living out
loud" (richard). i think it was last week that they were shoving "primary
colors" (allison) down our throats. "heaven" (richard) has been on a lot
lately, too.

i suppose that's not something to complain about, is it? although it does make
me realize that i watch too much tv...

not even starz. just basic cable. last week i caught whitford's ER
episode again, and then they showed the client (whitford again, playing
a character aptly named fink - which covers a lot of his roles, doesn't
it?) on cbs, i think. when a&e had the la law reruns with the later
seasons, we had john spencer every day.

tho, i own primary colors, so i can cheat. ;)

And oddly enough, I saw Speed for the Thousandth time the other
night... and realized that one of the fake TV anchors is Antonio Mora.
No big deal to anyone, but it's wierd, since I started working for
ABCNews a few months ago, and he does the news inserts and news
portions of "Good Morning America."

Just found it interesting. :-)

Well... it's not basic, but HBO's showing "Forces of Nature" pretty
regularly this week...

Ahhhhh.. I really want that episode on tape. It was my fave episode when I
first saw it.. even before I knew who Brad Whitford was. It's one of the
best ER episodes.

I suppose that since they can't get their mits on TWW yet, the next
best thing to make their viewer's happy is to get other stuff the
stars have been.
