I hate to be off-topic but you're the only ones I know who might know.

My tape was pretty low quality last week, but I thought Sally Fields
died in that episode of ER. Yet she's here again this week. What
happened?

she didn't die. i mean, basically, that's what happened. the final scene with
abby and luka was a discussion of the fact that she'd pulled through, had been
seen by psych and that her vitals were back to normal.

She didn't die. She made a suicide attempt and ended up in the ICU. For your
future ER needs try alt.tv.er They are extremely helpful over there.

She pulled through. And may I say, "ARRGGGHHHHH!!!!" (I HATE this storyline. I
HATE it. HATE HATE HATE HATE it. I'm sick to death of the annual ER "big-name
guest star" who plays someone with some mental deficiency.)

if it was any other character i'd just flip right on past and roll my eyes, but
as long as they're giving maura lots and lots to do, they've got me as a viewer
every week. well, they've got me as a time shifter every week, because i
usually watch "sports night" during that hour (and this week "survivor" <g>).

I'm waiting for the reruns, yes, since i love maura tierney.

which is why I'm waiting for the reruns - not because of survivor, of course -
because of sports night. DUDE! next week - draft day part 1!!

Thanks all. Darn, I should pay more attention, or maybe I didn't set
the tape for long enough. They've been showing previews all week and
I kept getting more and more confused.

I also didn't realize the pattern of having a big name star with a
mental defficiency each year. YOu're right. LOL.

Then why do you watch? I wouldn't jeopardize MY blood pressure with that.

I said it, I meant it!

Oh I think it is nice change from the extremely tedious big series star
with brain tumor/miscarriage and deep dark past.

Because I still like the rest of the show. Hell, the eight point seven seconds
of Dr. Romano on last night's episode was nearly enough to balance out all the
Sally Field crap.
