Ellenor: Rebecca, it is a trial. There are six year associates across the
street still waiting for their first jury trial Do you have any idea...
Rebecca: I can hear the sweet song of the Lujack. Ellenor: It will be good
experience. Rebecca: I have to finish this payroll crap. Which I was
supposed to have finished by the first of the year. Which I would have
finished, but for a few Lujacks dumped on me with the best of intentions.
I serached the key word, "Lujack" on the net. Is it something to do with a
character of a soap opera? What did Rebecca try to mean by that?

"Lujack" is a code word made up by the lawyers on the show meaning
dumping a case on someone. This way, as in the episode rerun this week
(the elderly couple whose marriage was being annulled), the lawyers can
smile sweetly in front of a client and tell them that another lawyer
will assist them, since they have a matter to attend to concerning the
Lujack matter.
I don't know what inspired the term; perhaps it has something to do with
the Lujack car-protection system (a tracking device hidden in your car
that can be traced if it is stolen). Although I can't see why. B^)

nemo me impune lacessit
what a coincidence that i was actually looking for this word just
yesterday! :o) i was reading a script too (i forgot which one) so i,
too, came to the conclusion that it was something they made up to dump
cases on each other.
on a relevant note, i know what they mean with "plan b." what i want to
know is if this term is used by other lawyers as well, or was it
something created by david e. kelley?
It's a term used by public defenders. In real life.
D'oh!
Hope this helps!
