Did Vogelman stab Lindsay?

I know most of the people here are watching season 4, but things a little
slower at my side - I just watched the last episode of season 3. The last
scene shows Vogelman in a nun costume. So, I'm wondering - is Vogelman as
psycho and did he stab Lindsay? And Who killed Susan Robin?

See answer above. :-)

But what is his motive? Why would he kill Susan Robin, plant her head in
his medical bag and go to his lawyers?
Is it just because he is just plain sick? And why did he stab Lindsay? I'm
kind of confused here.

As were most of us, I think. The thing was, that David E. Kelley got so into
the whole mystery part of it and throwing so many red herrings out there and
possible motives that they forgot to kind of fully explain it. Vogelman said
that he thought Eleanor was working that night, and apparently went to stab
her, for the apparent motive that he still harbored a grudge against her for
rejecting him. She wasn't there, so he stabbed Lindsay for kicks. As for Susan
Robbin, apparently that was just his psychopathic nature coming out to play.
But while I enjoyed these episodes, I always felt a bit shortchanged by the
ending. It was "it could be this guy, or this guy, or this guy......it was him!
the end!" I felt that there could have been a bit more investigation into
George's mind than the slightly cliched "I"m about to kill you, so let me tell
you what I did routine."

There was none.

He was a psycho and thats all it was given. The worst non-ending one
can imagine for a great story arc.

As I theorized in another post a few months ago, DEK wanted to
wrap up the Vogelman thing quickly so that he would have time to
work on Snoops and edit down old Ally McBeal episodes to half an
hour. Plus, The Practice is now the second highest rated drama
on TV, and this was the time to rerun episodes from when it was
in the ratings basement. You can't have big sweeping story arcs
(like the Vogelman thing) when every other week you're running
an episode from three years ago.

I'm new to this board, and haven't had time to find what's
already been posted on what I'm about to mention.

When the head turned up in the bag and the whole Vogelman thing
started, I thought of that other decapitation case from the
second season, a two-part story where a doctor played by Chris
Sarandon was ultimately convicted for killing his girl friend.
He was portrayed as innocent to us, apparently the victim of a
frame-up scheme by a seemingly supportive wife; the camera
panned over to her as the verdict was read, and she had a
chillingly satisfied expression and obviously Knew Something.
Shortly after the story, or this first phase thereof, completed,
McDermott appeared on a daytime talk show and the story was
discussed, and he mentioned in passing that the story was not
over.

I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop on that story ever
since then. When the Vogelman thing started, I noted the
similarity in MOs (decapitation) and thought there would be some
kind of tie-in. That didn't pan out; I agree with a previous
comment that the Vogelman saga had a completely unsatisfactory
conclusion; I think the writers on some of the daytime soaps
could have done better.

And after three years (I think that's right) I'm starting to
wonder if Kelley and his minions are going to let poor Chris
Sarandon rot in the pokey forever. Maybe they're saving it for
something, like the final episode after it gets canceled. They
would sure have to show the original again, and if they aren't
careful and wait too long, some key actors might no longer be
available.

It won't. Same goes for the Vogelman story. They're over.

You may be right. Unfortunately, it ended in a very capricious
verdict, and just seemed set up for more to be added later. But
three years is a long time for TV. I'd consider it a major black
eye for this show if this one were not revisited.

Of course it's obvious the Vogelman case is done. The guy's dead.

I believe on last weeks's episode onwhatevewr they call the front part.
(Teaser?) They had Vogelman dressed as a nun stabbing Linsay. When that has or
will be aired the regular part of an episode, I don't know.
