I heard Geoffery Archer has a big share, and has made a lot of money out
of them.

Sorry, Teletubbies are owned by the BBC and Ragdoll Productions.

Doesn't it say that at the end of the credits when you watch?

Yes, and Ragdoll are backed by (among others) Jeffrey Archer, who came into
contact with them because his wife is a director of Anglia TV and thus quite
well connected. His initila stake in Ragdoll was about £50k and it's now worth
about a million. Nice work if you can get it.

I have to say, the Tubbies make a lot more sense than his crappy novels do

Jeffrey Archer does have a connection to the Teletubbies. He gave a business
loan to a young guy whose name escapes me to start up his company. The young
guy then won the contract to make the Teletubbies merchandise. So although
Archole has no stake in Rag Doll, every time you buy Tubbies stuff, the
greasy bastard gets a small cut
