I am installing a TV in a lift cabinet that is at right angles from and
15-20' away from the bookcase cabinet that contains my A/V Receiver, DVD
player and DTV box.
It appears the Sewell device will allow me to send a signal to the
bookcase via the HDMI cable. What I am not 100% sure of is whether I
can plug the output into a connector block that supports multiple IR
emitters. The tech at Sewell says I can but it isn't clear from the web
site if that is the case or not. I know a single emitter can feed
several devices if the sensors line up right but I am pretty sure that
won't be the case here.
I don't know enough about IR wiring to know if this will work or not.
This all seems to be a simple electrical connection but I don't really
know what is coming out of the emitter end of this device and whether it
is suitable for splitting to multiple emitters. Does anybody know for sure?

I had a similar device that worked fine except the connectors were very
fragile. I eventually destroyed one. I replaced it with a simple IR
cable that was less expensive. If you haven't already bought yours you
may want to consider this.
