Somebody please suggest what device I need to watch streaming video
from Amazon Prime wirelessly through my Sony HDTV that is NOT Internet
ready.

I would need to use a web browser to access Amazon Prime and stream the
video via my wireless router to the device hooked up to my TV's HDMI or
USB input.

I already have a Nintendo Wii connected to the TV that we watch
Netflix, but there is no Wii channel for Amazon Prime. My wife wants
to switch from Netflix to Amazon Prime because it has better selections
and is cheaper according to her.

I purchased a device through Amazon which might work for you. It's from
"imation" . The transmiter plugs into a usb port on your computer and then
transmits the signal to a hdmi equiped receiver at the tv. You can then
use your internet connection to stream the Amazon videos. A side benefit is
that you can watch the streaming on the tv while still using the computer
for other programs. It does 720p video which is more than most streaming so
not a problem. About $100.

I have a
Roku 2 XS Streaming Player. UPC 8 28610 88007 5

It gets "amazon instant video", which I think is what you use for
Amazon Prime. Just be careful not to select a program that isn't
included in the Amazon Prime deal, as it probably will automatically
charge you for it without telling you.

The web page:
http://www.roku.com/roku-products
describes various Roku models. I'm not sure which other models
can get "amazon instant video". Page:
http://www.roku.com/roku-channel-store
suggests that all models can get the channel.

Actually only one Roku box is on sale this weekend the HD now at $48
shipped. I do love my Roku boxes, picture quality, simplicity and the
prices are great. I would though stongly suggest an XD or XS model
over the cheaper HD and LT. I have both an XD and LT and some channels
will not play on the LT, the 1080p Showcase and TED are two that come
to mind.
