I'm about to buy a 27" flat tube TV.
I was looking at Sony Wega and JVC i'Art.
(Sony KV27FS13 and JVC AV-27F702).
I'm kind of leaning towards Sony. I noticed that both have dynamic focus.
www.futureshop.ca shows comparisons of the 2 TVs:

It shows that both Sony and JVC have Vertical compensation and compression,
yet only the Sony Web site lists this feature on their TVs, not JVC.
Also the above site says that JVC i'Art has high band video amplifier as
well as high performance video amplifier (whatever the second one is),
although these two features are not listed on the JVC Web site under that
TV.
Sony Wega on the other hand has 'N/A' in that comparison for wide band video
amplifier. I have heard that this feature is very important for use with
component video and DVD. Does anyone know if the Sony Wega has that feature
or not?
Also the above site lists that Wegas do not have 480i capability, while the
i'Art have it? Isn't 480i simply component input, which Wegas do have?
What are your thoughts on the above TVs?
Thank you,
Luke

I recently purchased a 27" JVC i'Art (F802). I compared this set to the
Wega and after spending much time in various electronics stores, decided to
pick up the i'Art. Go with the i'Art - you won't be upset!

Does the JVC i'Art (F802) have the ability to do vertical compression on
anamorphic DVDs through the use of a 16:9 mode? I know that the Sony
KV27FS13 has a 16:9 mode.
