This is pretty disturbing. Apparently at the request of parties unnamed,
Rob Cesternino removed a portion of his interview with Omar after the fact
due to remarks Omar made about his treatment at Ponderosa. I wonder if
this has something to do with the fact that the Ponderosa videos have yet to
be shown for season 42. For Rob to cave like this to outside forces makes
you wonder if there was a threat of some kind of legal action.

I've been saying all along that something happened at Ponderosa for them to not give us footage. We still don't know the real reason and it very well might stem from something that happened at Ponderosa during S41. When the first juror was revealed this season and we didn't get a Ponderosa video, there was a lot of talk online that it was Mafia Pastor's fault. Recently, but before Omar's RHAP interview, Mafia Pastor said something did happen but that it didn't involve her. She said another juror lodged a formal complaint against a Ponderosa producer.

There's also been talk that there was a COVID-19 breakout among the Ponderosa crew this season. I bought that for a while but no longer do as people such as Hai, Channel, and Lindsay have posted photos from Ponderosa and have said things were filmed and that they want the videos released.

As for the RHAP controversy, I believe Rob is being unfairly maligned. If he pisses off Paramount he'll lose access to a lot of reality shows that he covers. What Omar said is out there and no one is questioning his claims. I have a feeling that we'll never see Drea again which is good by me.

Tried to destroy Omar's reputation. This is what Omar said on the RHAP podcast:

…to get to Ponderosa and have that experience opened up with, "You are a malicious, evil person who I have no respect for, that systematically eliminated people of color in favor of Jonathan and Lindsay. And we have no respect for you. And you’re so lucky you didn’t make it to the end because we would have embarrassed you in front of everybody at the Final Tribal Council." It cuts very deep, I would say, because I didn’t expect it. Especially as a very underrepresented person of color, to have that heat come at me for something that I didn’t feel was fair, was very traumatizing.

Read the Reality Blurred article Rick linked to for more info. Drea rubbed me the wrong way from the start and left a huge black mark on this season when she played the race card.

Okay, but he said she said that?

Is it true?

Well, still it was kept at a reasonable level ...

I've seen a number of the jurors defend Omar and no one stand up for Drea. Drea's also been very quiet post season other than for getting the Sia money.

I disagree. It was an unnecessary move and ended up backfiring on her.

Maybe, but in terms of a "a huge ... mark on this season"?

Actually what you wrote maybe Drea would say one shouldn't
write or say these days ;)

I think this is more than just a case of Rob not wanting to alienate
Paramount. I think there is some kind of legal action going on behind the
scenes, like someone in the cast suing the show or making a formal legal
complaint, etc., and I think Rob was likely told by CBS to remove the clip
or risk becoming part of the action.

Based on the info available, I can see someone from the S41 cast suing the show but not from this season. I think CBS is trying to shutdown any talk that makes their 50%+ initiative look bad especially stories of minorities going after each other. If it had been Tori who attacked Omar, CBS would have either said nothing or turned it into an opportunity to give us a morality lesson. Side note: they did Tori dirty with the edit they gave her.

I agree with you about Tori. I didn't like her at first, but my opinion
changed as the season progressed and we learned more about her. I'd be okay
if she came back.

Not super-charismatic but looked good and had her head in
the game.

Tori was great TV. I thought she had a lot more to offer gamewise and would love to see her play again.

Great TV ... walk out on the square here when it's sunny and
we have 10~20 Tories buzzing around. Not that that is anything
negative about her but she didn't do or say anything amazing
what I could see.

Then I'm much more impressed or maybe interested in seeing
I should say a character like Noura Salman, who was robbed
(Dean as well). Noura was "special", which is more common
among dudes, maybe as girls are scared to death of showing it,
but Noura showed it and I liked that about her, she had also
another, super-focused side which won her many challenges.
And very good looking hair!

Tori, I don't want to say one negative word about her but
good-looking, strong-minded, young, confident and fit people -
there are a lot of those ... Well, good for you if you thought
it was great TV I guess :)
