I can't find torrents, only have one this season - S10E02 - so
far ...

The US show is indeed easy on EZTV,

https://eztv.unblockit.boo/shows/266/survivor/

which is great, but they don't have the AU show :(

I thought you watched US Survivor on satellite or just streamed it. Is CBS not available where you live?

For real? :)

No, I've never watched Survivor in any other way, just from
files downloaded from torrent sites, except for the very
original "Expedition Robinson" on Swedish television way back
in 1997! (But the original idea is from the UK, as always with
ideas BTW ...)

There has been no less than five versions of the Swedish show,
on four networks:

SVT (1997–2003)
TV3 (2004–2005)
TV4 (2009–2012, 2018–)
Sjuan (2015) [1]

But I only watched the SVT one, after that US, NZ and
AU Survivor.

The original release was in 1997-09-13 when I was 14y 2m 22d.
The guy who was voted out in that same episode
committed suicide.

> Is CBS not available where you live?

I'm sure it is, but I want the files on my computer - watch
whenever I like, free of commercials and some especially
interesting episodes I watch several times (or have on in the
background when doing other things).

I don't even have a TV, just a computer, a nice chair and
a projector :)

I have now acquired them all, 01-21, and seen 01-12.

When I started to watch this show, I was like ... OMG, what
happened to all these stunner girls, has it really been that
long since they had their original seasons and looked
absolutely amazing and I had so much respect for them? :O

But then I realized, they are as good looking and as capable
now than ever, it's just that I remembered them as 100% slim,
sunburn, and with that killer-instinct focus glowing in their
eyes from a long and hard season on the beach and in the
jungle ...

And now suddenly all pall, just a bit fumbly, and a little
round!

*adjustment needed* :)

No, they are as attractive as ever and the show is as AWESOME
as ever!

GO AUSTRALIA, thanks for brining us the by far best
installment of Survivor!

Yeah, I should have added "of those I've seen". I wrote this
a couple of days so don't get annoyed reading it a second
time, but I've seen the Swedish original 1997–2003, then the
US show, then NZ and AU.

Of those, all were/are good but the AU is best by far.

But I actually think quite possibly it's the best
internationally and overall, since it has such a long run and
so long episodes. Because that can't be common, right?

Here are the run times - with no commercials - of the S10
episodes I got from 1337x.

So not only is it good - it's a lot as well. And actually,
I think that's a huge part of the key to why it's so good,
they don't have to be stressed it what they show. You get to
see "unneccessary" stuff, but actually that translates to fun,
unexpected stuff, and you getting you now the player in
another way.

The other part of the key is - much more adult, mature, much
cooler challenges, much more sport and less game in it's style
- much more mature, common people and not neurotic kids. [Now
comparing to the US show, saying this that show used to have
a lot more grit and be less nerdy/goofy. But now is now
I guess, past merits don't last long ...]

re SA Survivor: Is it good? Maybe I'll check it out ...

I'd say second to AU.

For me the high points of SA Survivor were in S1 and S2 where in one
of the late rounds (F3?) they did a pole standing challenge (the poles
were about the diameter of your standard North American telephone
pole) and in S1 it went 23 1/2 hrs, 24 1/2 in S2.

I think it was in S2 F4 where there was a tall black fellow who was
both a physical best and an ultimate game player who I'm sure everyone
thought was going to win but in their Final 4 challenge they said that
it was also their Final 3 since the first to fall would be immediately
eliminated (e.g. no tribal council) with the last 3 taking part in the
final tribal council.

Not sure what happened but he momentarily swooned in the heat at fell
off at F4 and was eliminated - but no question had he gone to F3 he
would have won.

(Given how many of you will actually WATCH SA Survivor 2 I'm skeptical
how much of a spoiler this is!) But no question his fall at F4 was the
climax of the episode even more so than the later tribal council - and
the producers played it that way too.
