I was discussing the issue of testing a kid's DNA again with my friend
June (as she's a mom and works in the medical field) and she brought
up a related issue we may want to toss around (we do have a whole
month until Survivor Half Stars....);
ME: "So I says; 'what rights of the woman's are being violated?!"
JUNE: "Well, what about a woman's right not to pay child support
for a kid that isn't hers?
ME: "Waa?"
JUNE: "What if a woman's slutty husband is screwing around on
_her_ and knocks up the gal he's cheating with and the DNA test
proves him to be the father, huh smartass?"
ME: *realizing where this is going* "Well.... umm...."
JUNE: "The court will require the guy to pay child support and
that becomes an unfair financial burden on his wife, as those are
legally both their assets and she isn't the mother of the kid, get it?"
ME: "Yabutthat'snotwhatIwanttotalkaboutrightnow."

Oh my god, child support is unfair to a woman? We just might have a shot
at getting the child support laws changed after all!
