Michele's been doing an AMA on Reddit off and on today. She's trying to give as detailed answers as possible. I'm going through the questions right now and there's some great info coming out that helps to explain some of what happened this season. Here are some good questions and answers I've come across.

Hey Michele, I just wanted to say coming into 40 you were my second favorite and being able to look forward to watching you all the way to the finale was a blessing and made the season more enjoyable. If I were on the jury you would have had my vote to win! My question for you is how serious were you about working with Parvati on the swap, if yall were able to get Nick/Yul/Wendell to flip would you have gone with that plan or voted Parv out? And if she had stayed, how long into the game were you planning on working with her, and how do you think that would have affected your game? Thanks for doing this and I hope I get to see Winchelle slay the game again one day!

Thank you so much! I was very serious about working with Parv on the swap. I loved parv and admired her and we got along really well, so I wanted to keep her around for personal reasons. Unfortunately, I knew with the group we had, things would never flip any other way (I had a pregame alliance with Nick, Wendell and Yul) and so she really got swap screwed. I wanted to make sure that despite that, I still got her tokens and I pitched to Wendell that I continue to vote for him so she thinks I was still with her. He was notttt happy. At that point, Yul suggested promising to give him a token after I recieved them (hence why you saw me give him one the next day) and in fact, Yul gave him his token to hold on before tribal just to show his loyalty that he wasnt flopping with parv. Voting out Parv was the last thing I wanted to do and I cried the most in the entire season those few days, after that I vowed to grow more of a backbone. If she stayed, I would have worked with her as long as I possibly could knowing that she had a huge target on her back. Hopefully Michele/Parv 2.0 can happen one day!

Was Boston Rob intimidating time play with?

Nah, he is freaking awesome and hilarious. I honestly found his company to be 10/10 and was hanging with him all the time to see what he would say and do. Not really the most subtle player though haha. He had some frantic energy when it came to strategy.

Hi Michele! Thank you so much for doing this ama! Everyone here on reddit appreciates it! I have two questions.

Did you think you were able to prove to others why your a good player? It was very impressive seeing you make it to F3 despite being on the bottom the whole way through.

Who do you think your closest ally was? We saw you align with Parv, Nick, Nat, and Jeremy, but who did you have the closest relationship with?

Once again, thank you so much for doing this 😊

For the most part it seems like people think I did an ok job. I don't know who my closest ally was. I unfortunately had really strong preexisting relationships with Wendell, Adam, Nick, Yul and Jeremy so things got messy. In the game I really connected with Parv. Also theres something about doing say 39 that makes people feel really close so I would say post game I feel really really close with Tony and Nat- I probably talk to them and Nick the most. Idk, I am rambling and love them all.

Hi Michele! Thanks for doing this! Big fan here!

You've said all along that you wanted to prove to the Survivor world that you deserved your first win, that you are a good player, etc. Now that you're the only returnee who's never been voted out, it's hard to dispute your record.

Do you feel satisfied and like you've proven yourself now? Do you have a reason to go back and if so, what?

I don't know if i have proved I am a good player but I do think less online hate= a more satisfied meesh. I would go back for a tie breaker.

How well did you think you were going to do going into the season? Was there anything about your performance that surprised you, or was unexpected?

Michele Fitzgerald | Kaôh Rōng

I thought I would get voted out first. And then I thought I would get voted out every night consecutively after that. LOL. I think I was unexpectedly more emotional this game. I cried almost everyday. My first game I don't think I cried once except maybe final tribal. I was kinda a mess. Also... LOL who knew I was going to be a total fucking disaster at challenges?!

Hello Michele. Thanks for being here.

Let me ask you a little bit of a controversial question: How do you feel about the entire Kaoh Rong controversy and how the fanbase reacted to your win? How do you feel about the debate between you and Aubry, and how does maybe Aubry feel if you know anything about that? Are you two friends with each other?

Thanks.

Hmm... I was pretty devastated at the fan reaction. I went into the season at 24 years old and was not the most self confident person anyways so I never really thought I had a shot at winning. When I did win, I expected to feel really validated and the experience was kinda opposite. I can not speak to how Aubry feels about it, but I assume she was proud of her game and wanted the validation of the win. Weirdly, by her getting the community validation, she got the thing I wanted and I got the thing she wanted. She is a great person and I consider her a friend.

(1) What was your reaction to Adam telling you he thought there was an idol at TC after Wendell was voted out?

(2) Adam also said it was difficult to act interested in the other players telling stories of their kids. Plus we had that secret scene of you talking about that with your sister at the loved ones visit. How much do you think that hindered your game back with not being able to create as close of bonds as you did in Kaoh Rong?

Michele Fitzgerald | Kaôh Rōng

I thought it sounded a little crazy but also was supportive of him trying it, because, why not? It was super hard to connect on a parent level but I think I used it as an opportunity to learn about their journey to parenthood. Most people played their first game in a somewhat similar situation to mine so they gave me feedback on what it was like winning, finding love, having babies etc. I want all of that in my life so their advice and journey was interesting. as far as how not having kids hindered my game, I think I am just not taken as seriously because of who I am and my lifestyle.

Is there anything interesting you can share about behind the scenes stuff / production? If people are trying to be sneaky / look for idols, do cameramen give away people's positions?

Michele Fitzgerald | Kaôh Rōng

Nah, they are pros! They do bop you on the head with the mic if they want to get your attention like if you arent talking loud enough or facing the camera. They did it a lot to Sarah, I think they liked fucking with her.

Hey Michele! I was rooting for you from the get-go and I was bummed that you weren’t able to receive any votes in the end. Thank you for doing this!

What was the overall reaction to the Parvati/Sandra boots at the next reward challenge that we unfortunately didn’t get to see?

If any, what are your biggest regret(s) during the game looking back at it?

If you ever returned, what theme would you be most interested in, BvW, HvV, etc?

Who would you have voted for in a Tony/Sarah/Natalie f3? And do you think Tony still wins in that scenario?

What do think about your many iconic fan-given nicknames, and what is your fav haha?

What is your opinion on the Winners at War song?

That’s all I got for now lol, once again, thanks for doing this and I hope you’re staying safe in these uncertain times!

Thanks!! Listen, one vote = still losing so no point. LOL

I think everyone saw the writing on the wall for parv and was confused about sandra. We chocked it up as her probably doing something crazy.

Probably voting out Yul

BvW with my sister, HvV is cool too though- I am not picky lol.

Tony- yes.

I fucking love my nicknames and I always love contoverchele and bichele obvi.

I like the song actually- hot take!

Hi Michele!! I have to say, you really won me over this season and I'm now a huge Michele fan!! I was devastated that you didn't receive a single vote in the end. I hope you feel really proud of yourself and the game you played regardless of that: you ABSOLUTELY proved yourself to be an incredibly deserving winner and superstar player, no question.

When the game ends, do you get a day at Ponderosa, or do they just abruptly fly you straight home the day after FTC? I would imagine you need time to decompress, and don't they have exiting players talk to a therapist before punting you back into the real world? I'm just curious on how that process goes from the end of filming to getting back to your life.

What was the reception from the other players after FTC? Does anyone discuss or hint at how they voted? Was there a difference between WaW and Kaoh Rong in the atmosphere/reception from others?

Do you feel Jeff was more respectful toward you (and the other women) than maybe he has been in the past, in terms of giving you credit for you wins/playing well/etc?

Thank you so much for coming to talk to us! I would absolutely love to see you play again, here's hoping!!

Thank you so much! Means a lot...

My first season we got to ponderosa and had dinner and were up at like 5am the next day to fly home. My second season we had the full next day and flew home around 11pm so I actually experienced like... talking through some sensitive relationships, having fun outside the game, getting massages, eating ice cream, etc. I was in a kinda weird headspace so im not sure i enjoyed it as much as I wish i did. When i got home after my first season I had been at final tribal about 24 hours prior to walking through my door. to say I was shellshocked would be an understatement. this time, I kinda went right back into life and work THE NEXT DAY. But really sometimes you think youre ok when you get home and then you look back when you are actually ok and you are like... wow I was unhinged lol. Days are also longer when you get home because you wanna do everything and dont know what to do with yourself. Its a mess.

This season people talked about who they voted for. It was super awkward because Nat and Tony both thought they won and were fighting about it and I knew I didnt so I was pretty upset. Finally I told them to shut the F*ck up and bicker about who voted for who when I am not around lol. Everyone I think respected all 3 of us though which was nice. My first season I knew where a lot of the votes went but not all so I was hoping for a win but didnt know for sure. Debbie can be a wildcard, Cyd wasnt telling me, Jason didnt tell me. So I had to guess. 3.Jeff was super respectful, he clearly loved the seaosn and was acting pretty excited about all of us. Def did not feel like he was unhappy I was there or anything.

This is really interesting and something that I didn't realize until the questioner pointed it out. Michele making F3 is even more impressive now.

ArtVandelay16

Hey Michele! Thanks for opening up to the fans.

One thing I think got pushed under the rug is you were the only person from Old Sele/NuSele to make the merge. As a result, you played with by far the least number of people there. How much did that negatively impact your ability to gain power as opposed to people like Tony or Sarah?

Michele Fitzgerald | Kaôh Rōng

More importantly, I played with the most jurors out of anyone on the cast which means I burnt bridges already when some people were just laying around catching sharks and building ladders. LOL.

Yeah, I did not know who was with who and couldn't seem to find a place that I fit in after Wendell left.

It made sense that you, Wendell, and Nick had a pre-alliance but how did Yul of all players get rope in?

Michele Fitzgerald | Kaôh Rōng

He was putting feelers out for a contact on the cast and a past player suggested I would be a good fit to work with him. He was really the best alliance member and i betrayed him so bad. I did not deserve Yul.
