Yes. Gretchen and Joel were married in a private ceremony in Reno, NV
about nine days after filming wrapped on Survivor. Gervase was the best
man and Jenna the maid of honor. The rest of their castmates were
invited but feelings were a bit frayed after all that went on at the
island, though reports state that Sean and Dirk were present. Colleen
couldn't make it due to school. They have kept it quiet at the request
of the producers so as not to give the wrong impression that they were
connected before filming started.
When asked about the match, Gretchen replied with the cryptic, "Ever
hear the one about the traveling salesman?"
It's a joke.

Including a bigamous marriage, you mean? Joel was voted off on the
18th day of their stay, with Gretchen's reason being that he didn't
need the money. She was ousted three days later when the tribes
combined, returned home to her husband and kids three days after that.

He screamed then fainted. But he got better. Besides, they were
married in one state and she and Joel married in Nevada. The first
marriage didn't count there.

The situation isn't too inconvenient because Joel lives in Arkansas
and Mr. Cordy in Tennessee. On the whole Gretchen's first husband is
putting on a brave face for the children, but his heartbreak was easy
to see when all three appeared on the Springer show. Joel would kinda
enjoy having Gretchen with him full-time but also kinda enjoys his
space. He is currently writing a book about all of the women in his
life called "Women are Like Cows".
Not.
Hm... we could put together a story that the reason it was believed
Gretchen was the Last Survivor is that she DIDN'T return home and
instead eloped with Joel. (She has said that if anyone asked her
friends or family if she had come home, then they'd know she wasn't
the winner, but since no one didn't we can't be sure, can we?)
